Rare to get snow here in fairness, I've lived here 6 years and November was the first snowfall I'd seen that stuck.

Some signfiicant #snow accumulations to come for Munster and the south Midlands before the system pushes into the Irish Sea. The latest Arpege model suggests so at least.

It's a wet, sleety mess out there (Cork city centre).
The grit has been washed away and some of the wet snow on the ground can be very slippy.

For this neck of the wood anyhow we really do need everything to fall into place to get snow from an atlantic front.
We were off by just a smidgen. If all parameters were hit the southern half of the country would have come to a standstill.
So much PPN went by. Wasted really. Coming down hard now but it really could have been historic. Historic for some already but could have been way more widespread.

Snowing non stop out here since last night, and to make it worse its lodging.
Everywhere is white and no sign of of it stopping anytime soon.
6c in Sligo but at least it's dry. Dew point now 1c so any showers will be rain and hail here.
Cork has had about 75mm of rain this month but very dry in NW only 6mm
