Given the rather precarious state of affairs Boards announced, would re-opening FoG be of any consideration, just in case Boards must close down?

Yep, we have reopened forumofgames.com to use as an alternative if boards has to shut.
Thank you Trigger. Boards will always be our home, but if ever anything happens, it's nice to have even a small part of it preserved (for however long it can be). Cheers :)

Sadly it’s almost a given boards will be gone. 2,000 subscribers is massively unachievable sadly. I will migrate to FOG when the time comes to join a few more games
