East cork today 9kwh
S\W 3.44 array
nice to see this today , tomorrow looking similar
Off the post, 18.8kwh.
At 11.3kwh so far, should make it to 20
Looking good in Cork for today and tomorrow. Generating 2.7kw at 10:00 am.
this the flogas offer crowd?
Maybe they turned it up to 11?
It’s ground mounted and all I saw them do was a voltage test whipping wires out from a box and putting them back
I won’t name the company but they are known here
I have 3 5kw Duracell batteries too with it seems obvious only one of them working, given how quickly the SOC of the battery drops after sunset vs how much we use
I’m giving them one more chance to get this right in January or it will go legal
I do wonder do the team on this know less than I do and I don’t know a whole lot
Maybe post a picture of the "box" where they "turned" it up from and people can say straight away what I think most are already thinking. Were they on the roof or anywhere else you couldn't see them.
I’d agree but what can I do as neither a DIY installer or in any way educated in how to set this up properly
It’s definitely doing double what it was
Production today was 5.5kw according to the Solis app
Skinks
Box with red light likely fireman switch.
Possibly a string not connected.
There's nothing to turn up either... Well maybe if there is a export limit set
Smells of BS
there’s actually 13 more panels up not connected yet, they’ve ordered a solis pro before they’re hooked in
All I saw them do was fiddle with a power unit under a box with a red light and they said they turned it up to max
Partly cloudy skies and it’s now at 250 pm producing 1.94 kWh ,a 7.5kw system ground mounted south facing
It will be a 15kw when the pro arrives or should be
That's good so, they hardly forgot to connect up some panels initially?
No,except they said they turned something ‘up’
It’s more or less completely cloudy here today in SE Wicklow but it’s definitely producing a lot more power than it was for conditions like today
Did they say what adjustments were made? Just looked at app, had period for few mins hitting 4.4kw today, its sunny enough in south tipp today.
The crew that installed have just left, they made a few adjustments and the power under cloudy enough conditions more or less doubled
Here is what the Solis app is currently showing ,phone timestamp in the screenshot
0.1 kwh for today 24 DEC 2014 ,
for the record , shortest day stats . managed 1.8
Happy solstice folks!
A great day today for PV generation, unfortunately the sunny days in winter tend to be cold which results in the HP having to work hard driving up consumption.
The gloomy days like yesterday can result in myself paying out only a small bit more to import power as the HP didn't have to work as hard due to the milder weather.
Today = €2.98
Yesterday = €4.20
Just about done for today hitting 12.3kWh. 8.16kW @ 210°.
A few scattered clouds so probably 12.5kWh on a perfect day.
1.3 yesterday with 0.5kWh the day before.
Still a few watts trickling in but just reaching 8kws today, yesterday just barely over 1 but tuesday was my worst day since getting the panels, just .4kwhs
4.4kwp sse
1800 watts an hour or 1800 watts total?
Much of the midlands east and SE are clear gin blue sky today,so what are people’s totals today?
Mine is still generating but says only 6.6kw produced meaning it’ll be shy of 7 by dark
Yesterday in the rain it only produced 0.8 all day
The orientation of your panels verses south is the dominant factor at play here. ECO_Mental's panels are (i know) facing exactly due south. Anyone, myself included who doesn't have panels facing due south in winter will struggle a lot. This is because the sun is low to the horizon which is bad enough, but if your not facing due south your "slant angle" to the sun makes things even worse. Here's my max instantaneous output by month over the last couple of years….
I've 6.5Kwp setup in a E/W config. You can see from March to October I do pretty well, but Nov→Feb the maximum power is way down. Highest I've ever seen it in Dec was ~1800 watts. Again, this is the low sun on the horizon and my east/west facing panels only getting a small "slice" of the available sun. Note: Those values of nearly 7Kw dont' last long (couple of minutes) in May→Jul. Usually when the sun comes out from behind a cloud and the panels are cool - but once they heat up, the perf drops back to 6kw or there abouts.

East Cork
I read it and still missed that🤣 Point still stands I suppose in that the angle of the panels makes a huge difference.
I f you read the post I pointed to you would see it's a ground mount.
Pitch on the roof? Not location
Post #6277 says where they are.
What pitch is the roof they're on? Makes a big difference in the winter. Mine is 40 degrees and my 5.95 kwp can generate about 4kw.
