So, who's going to own up to recognising the place from "a video online" ?
You for a start!!!!! Hahahahaha!
That's really odd. Both photos have the same cars in the same positions in the background including one with a bonnet open so its not a photo timing issue. Google maps doesn't feature the PVC thing at the bottom of the window. I can't think of any reason to photoshop the pvc thing in at all, maybe a photo distortion? I shouldnt care but its bugging me!
It's weird; if you go back through all the dates on Google street view, it doesn't appear.
Enyas house is lovely.
That's not Enya's house - she lives in an actual castle nearby (well, more of a castle than the one that's for sale anyway!).
I always assumed that was a gate lodge for some house, tbh - it's kind of mad, perched there at the top of the hill all on its own.
Manor House, Mill Park Road, Enniscorthy, Co. Wexford, Y21R7P0 is for sale on Daft.ie
Full planning permission to demolish the 2 bedroom house to construct a 30 bedroom holiday let.
How would that Fit ?
Build up maybe but this isn't New York so maybe they meant 3 bed.
nice gaff for a woman and her cats.
I'm sure she's very happy there! Does she have cats? I wouldn't have had her down as a cat type myself.
Nothing compares to this ;

I had to stop looking at the photos. It's what I imagine being buried alive would feel like, the wood of the coffin all around you.
That's overpriced in my eyes anyway. I know it's on the shore and all but I'd rather live inland and buy a far superior house for the same price. House needs a lot of work. Wiring looks to be a disaster. Trunking everywhere and wires every where also. House doesn't look like it was empty for long but it must have been as the gardens are a disgrace.
o'connor sold it in 2021, so it's been empty for a little over three years apparently. she sold it for €1.04m.
PP to turn it into apartments was refused a few months ago.

That'd be a shame to knock that. It adds some character to the area and looks like really quite a nice house. Almost certainly it will be nicer than what would replace it.
It's another 2-bed house on the site that has permission to be demolished.
That main house is really beautiful. I'm a sucker for dual - aspect rooms
Whoops, dopey me. Thank feck for that. Thanks.
up a long time

A lot to like about this house although I'd like to see a floorplan to be sure.
I could never afford it but I do not like that house.
Exploration of the Guinness Mansion
I mostly like this house. Some things like the overly shiney tiles and the lots of odd steps around the bathrooms I would have to sort a bit, and those odd ladder things around the place but on the whole I like it.
Looks the EA is determined to get value for money out of the drone they purchased! A little overdone on the aerial shots, and too many interior shots that are more style than substance. Definitely agree - a floor plan is badly needed!
What style would you call that?!?
Modern Hobbit?
A huge hobbit house was my first thought too. 😂
For me its a house to be observed not to live in…
I'd say the architect compromised the experience of living there for the outward appearance… an the client had more money than sense or just didn't understand until it was too late. Lots of awkward spaces to achieve the look.
I mean if you let them that's what an expensive architect will do because the picture of the outside is their main content for their portfolio etc
Some odd interior photos eg pictures 36 and 39 and 26. Unusual to see steps / stairs without bannisters or handrail. And that is an exceptionally low doorway in the far wall?
Loads of trip and fall hazards in that house. And this one outside is an accident waiting to happen:
Not really. I'd expect an expensive architect to spend the time to have a complete design. Internal and external. It's when you want provide an idea/concept only an walk away that you end up with something unresolved. Of course go super cheaper, and you get a cookie cutter house plan.
That hobbit-esque look is very much that architect's style. I'd assume the owner went with that architect because they specifically wanted that style. Either than or too much money to care in the celtic tiger days.
I think the weird room shapes and high ceilings create some illusion/distortion (lens choice also distorting). Door is 39 is normal. sizes. Stairs in 36 vrs 39 is warped. Would guess it's a ver wide angle lens to fit in the odd shaped rooms.
