What’s Changing
Beginning December 30, 2024, some deposits and withdrawals in select European countries will require additional verification steps. These updates are part of the EU’s broader regulation of crypto assets.
Here’s how we’re keeping it simple:
Wallet Verification for deposits from private wallets: If your private wallet deposit or withdrawal exceeds €1,000 in value, or if you’re using a new wallet address, you’ll be prompted to verify your wallet ownership.
Future Ease: Once a wallet is verified, future transactions with that same address won’t need further verification.
Seamless Verification Options
We’ve made the verification process straightforward and secure through one of two methods:
Self-Certification: Verify ownership with a simple one-click process and a quick 2FA security check.
Satoshi Test: Send a small transaction from your wallet to confirm ownership. We’ll guide you every step of the way. ——

Interesting thought, listening to saylor most of the technical details of MicroStrategy goes over my head but from what I can gather he relies on the high volatility of Bitcoin to make money day to day from his finance options, though on the other side if BTC price increases then in theory microstrategy holdings are worth more.
Also where would that leave alts, a healthy BTC dominance is around 50% and there has to be some point then where BTC is worth a lot more than 50%.
At the moment we are seeing a good healthy alt pullback but BTC is not seeing much pullback beyond 10%, not sure if that is normal during a bull.
Personally and from a fairly uneducated pov I think too much emphasis is placed on the BTC halving, ok it does have some price impact but it seems to me the impact is more derived from global liquidity cycles.
When the fed were raising rates I always got the feeling their comments were around managing market fear and preventing market capitulation, now that rates are being lowered I get the sense that their comments are based around not overstimulating markets, it’s a balancing game they play. Ultimately they need to detach from their idea of an inflation target, and they will.
theyre up 18billion now, he bought 21,000 BTC last week. theirs about 14450 bullsh1t meme alts that will disappear soon. the world is running out of suckers that'll buy them.

This video (and the comments) goes over the finer details.
5 years until the likes of Google's new quantum chip can crack satoshis wallets. The original wallet encryptions were weaker. And soon after that everyone else's wallets if they don't move to newer wallets.
Relax and carry on.
Could it crack Bitcoin, then? Not yet, industry observers have pointed out. AllianceBernstein analysts said in a Tuesday report that the Willow chip—with 105 qubits—is still far from the several million qubits needed to overthrow the Bitcoin network. A qubit is the unit used to measure data in quantum computing. “Should Bitcoin contributors start preparing for the quantum future?” Bernstein analysts wrote. “Yes, but any practical threat to Bitcoin seems to remain decades away.”

The US military and it's 3 letter agencies use a bit of encryption themselves and no private entity will be allowed to compromise their security.
Then there are the world's financial and banking sectors which all use encryption involving sums far surpassing the market capitalisation of BTC.
The google chip is a load of fluff. It doesn't do anything and it didn't prove anything. They invented their own expt to make their own chip look good. IBM revealed a 1000 qubit machine over a year ago and has a large lead in the error correction research. Google does good marketing, 'proving the multiverse', give me a break.
This, quantum networking is even further behind. There's no real way to take current binary datasets and put it into quantum computing in any meaningfully large way.
Merry Christmas.
Heading for $100k....again. 🥃
not good at all
https://www.reuters.com/markets/currencies/russia-is-using-bitcoin-foreign-trade-finance-minister-says-2024-12-25/
tho if them Russian mined blocks could be identified and black listed that means less bitcoins in circulation for rest of us hence can justify higher price
All that UK gold money must be running out.
I would agree although I was thinking abit higher than 107k. In the region of 140k peak (give or take 5/10k) around May/June 2025
Bitcoin has the strongest encryption as it scales, there is far more money behind tradfi systems running on old cobol. Why would anyone go after bitcoin when these are far easier and far more lucrative.
Is that it, is 30% alt pullback complete and now recovering?
Things might be volatile until the inauguration. Then people are saying things will pump. I don’t see anyone factoring in world events and black swans. I’m looking to start moving some to cash in batches during the next pump. Last time I sat on stuff I should have been taking profits from. People get attached to looking at balances going up.
I suspect the inauguration is a massive sell the news event much like Elon shilling doge on the tonight show? Not even confident of eth reaching it's all time high
Nice push for btc today, still only in retracement though, interesting to see what happens next
A certain poster must be delighted with the chainlink ripple partnership today.
….

Not a partnership, remember a few years ago Microsoft admitted defeat with Windows phone and moved over to Android.
Similar going on here, Ripple adopts the Chainlink standard
Simplest of terms, Link Holders will be collecting fees from Ripple holders
"Not a partnership" 😂😂😂

Ripple IPO, XRP and RLUSD will lead the entire crypto industry into a new age 🙏
xrp 3 bucks, none myself but nice for those who have held
Well deserved too, it's been undervalued for years at this point.
XRP has given me my greatest returns to date. Bought at .35. This is fact not an emotion or wish.
I got some XRP at €0.2033, not too bad, only a hundred euros worth though
I had 7000 xrp bought at 19c. Cashed them out at 50c and was happy to do so.
Hindsight and all that!
Only have 500 now.
Looking like a new ATH soon, what a time to be alive.
