did anyone on that team or staff ever hear of a touchdown? Great things if you get them
How in hell did Giants sign off on Jones as a top 6 player and give him a new contract?
Mad
Last week he was overthrowing people, this week underthrowing
Daboll stuck to the run despite it not working
His play calling duties have not been successful
Do you reckon we trade for a QB or draft?
We got a decent o-line now & nabers. If (and it’s a big if) we hit on a QB, it’ll still take a couple of development seasons. Jones is hamstringing the bejesus out of this team
Draft I'd imagine
just when you think you have seen it all
Absolutely
Only giants can have a 102 yard return td against us
Great to get unexpected win
In fairness to Jones he played well this week
everything about the giants stinks. The players, the coaching, management and ownership.
Well embarrassing as usual
Looks like we'll need another new coach come end of year
watching the game tonight if I didn’t know any better I’d think the giants players gave up with one quarter to go.
I'd like to see Daboll be given a chance with a qb that is one if his own choosing.
Even Don Shula wouldn't win many games with Jones
Tank mode from now on?
Bet we win some meaningless games that will take us just away from one of the top picks
I don't see any sure fire QBs emerging for the 2025 draft class worth tanking over for any struggling team without a franchise QB. Nothing particularly winnable for the Giants apart from Panthers Week 10 and maybe Saints in Week 14, it's looking like this will finish up as another grim 4-13 or 5-12 season for the Giants hovering around a No.5 pick at that position you probably won't get a top 3 QB prospect now as there is still a glut of bad teams needing QBs, that stupid Jones contract has tangled up this Giants team at so many angles
I hope we play better than this in Munich next week
someone should be getting sacked this week
Let's just say I'm glad I left a few mins before the end to get the train 😂
The giants season gets even more bizarre. Jones benched for De Vito. Which is fair enough but why waste $5m on Drew Lock if he isn’t given a chance?
And if they realised after signing Lick he wasn’t up to it, it doesn’t give much confidence that they can get the next QB pick right
Don't think it is bizarre. I think it shows that Lock just isn't very good. The $5M was a waste true enough. But they see both Tommy and Lock everyday and have a clear idea of who is better. If it wasn't a football decision, then they would start Lock. But he was brutal in the preseason and poor when DJ was benched.
Jones released. Seems like a decent guy but it just didn’t work out on the field
I just hope we don't win too many meaningless games that we end up not having a decent draft pick to get a QB. The draft is very light on decent QBs this year
based on what I’ve seen so far today, i don’t think that will be an issue
oh we'll probably find a way to mess up
Jeez that was awful yesterday
Going to be a lot of empty seats at all remaining home games
No post in weeks
Shows how bad this season has been
Yeah, totally checked out. Just hoping we don't win again.
It's bad! 😥
Think Daboll will be gone but they might keep Schoen at end of the year
I'm torn on Daboll. I think he's an asshole and the ranting that came out after the end of last year with Wink showed he isn't capable of being the steady hand we need. His offences have been basically poor. Saw a line today about us averaging far less now than we did under Kil-drive back in day (24 points/game versus 14ish), but I do think this is all basically down to us having a poor QB for his time in charge.
But Schoen has overseen what is basically 3 very poor drafts. This year's one may be better but he still left McKinney walk, he left Saquon walk, gave DJ his payday and has a roster with very few average or above average players.
I don't like it, but if I had to, I think I would reset and fire them both. Nothing that Schoen has done so far gives me any confidence that he can get the needed QB or engineer a vet (trade or bridge) to do so.
I just hope we don't pick up any meaningless wins and f up our chances at getting Shedeur.
Looking at our remaining schedule, the Colts looks like maybe the only winnable game (just based on how inconsistent Richardson has been)
Raiders have a potential winnable game against the Jags next week and then the Saints the week after. So I'm still hopeful we get that number 1 pick
things were bad under judge and McAdoo but I don’t think I have ever been this checked out of a giants season yet.
can’t even lose properly now
Yup
That wins goina cost us
both Daboll and Schoen are back next year. Make of that what you will
