I never knew it was a house. Always thought it was some civic office or something.
Just the yellow barrier? Wouldn't bother me, the views.are.lovely and the park's across the road.
I reckon Enya drives by it everyday to her place around the corner and mutters "Thats not a fúcking castle".
The living room has no windows, either front or back. Its literally a pine box.
I'm familiar with the location. They should update the the ad with how it looks now
There is some rather disturbing block-work going on in that structure.
you'd have to budget in a possible five figure sum to have those awful cypresses cleared from around it. otherwise it'd be like living in a dark room.
Really? God I don't see anything wrong outside, that's killiney hill park over the wall, and it's 5 min walk down to the beach.
I love this & would snap it up in the morning but I would then be divorced by my OH so, you know, swings & roundabouts!
Awful outside

It looks like it evolved or was added to over years rather then being designed. Much better from outside. I suppose it’d suit someone who can see a way past all the wood to make it less oppressive. It feels tight or small somehow just looking at the photos.
I think that we may have seen this before, but it's rather lovely inside and worth another look.

Like, what were they thinking when they designed and built this oddity?

I think I mentioned before, but friends of mine bought a house once where the attic conversion was listed as a bedroom. The survey revealed it wasn't done to regs so should not have been listed. They dropped their offer by I think 30k and the seller agreed to it; they were delighted, the attic hadn't factored in their decision to buy.
You probably need the help of a sherpa to climb them
They don't even show the third bedroom or even the stairs.
how is this allowed? This is a two bed, as evidenced by the drawing, but it is being advertised as a 3 bed and in the ad it refers to the attic having been converted (with a bathroom, no less). No stairs and no windows in the roof, so can't be fire or planning compliant.
Agent should be strung up for even letting this be advertised. Looks like they cut and pasted the blurb from another property.

That has tonnes of potential to be beautiful. But you'd need deep pockets.
That was posted already.
Is there anything to be said for another Parochial house?

Your ocd can’t be too bad if you didn’t noticed the picture in the left is also crooked and there’s a desk lamp on the floor!
That TV in pic # 9 not being level would drive my OCD mad!
You can hear the banjos playing in the background on this one.
love to see inside this place :
Knockreagh, Maurices Mills, Ennistymon, Co. Clare is for sale on Daft.ie
the mist in photo 2 ties into the cabin in the woods theme
You would not build a 4,000 sq. ft house for that anyway. Good value compared to here in Dublin where I have seen much smaller, older, run down places go for more.
D1 seems kind of low for a new house. The gate that you just have to drive a bit up to avoid is kind of funny. Notions, my granny would have said.
https://www.daft.ie/for-sale/detached-house-lahernahone-ballyconnell-co-cavan/5391394 great value- needs a bit of finishing
Not sure i would to buy somebody else's mess.
I'd say the tenants were given notice to vacate, they refused and stopped paying rent.
A nightmare for a new owner to take on.
It was the "vendor is not currently in receipt of rents" i was referring to.
