No, our prisons aren't for performative clowns who purposefully choose jail rather than obeying the law, but that's the choice said clowns have made entirely of their own volition and free will. All Sean Burke had to do was literally just agree to good behaviour (ie. just don't break the law) for one year. He chose prison.

Also, nobody is claiming that the gardai/courts shouldn't also be catching and jailing other, more dangerous criminals. If anything, they'd have more time to do so if not for the nonsense of the likes of the Burkes.

Dad chose to go to jail himself to put the Burkes back in the media spotlight for Christmas, because Enoch is not getting out this year and mammy is getting no TV time for her spiteful ways, it’s all a game to them and trying to build up more support with the loony brigade.
