Starting tonight, supposed to be something like Questions and Answers where members of the audience put questions to the panel.
Hopefully it will be a bit better than the complete mess Claire Byrne Live was for the last few years.
God that Harris video that will never age well and seems to get worse every time I see it
The mask slipped for a brief moment…
O'Toole has become increasingly dislikeable over the past few years. Very condescending, and in his mind thinks he knows more than Trump ever could...
Wonder will The Monk get a mention 🤣
Totally. The forced handshake is not only cringeworthy but despicable. Was Elaine saying it shouldn’t have gained as much attention as it did? Strange take.
So much vomit on the show tonight. I think I'm going to have to turn it off. 🤢
In a year with so many Olympic gold medals, picking the GAA for sporting moment of the year is mad. Wiffen and Paul O’Donovan deserve all the plaudits this year.
And I'm out, what is this program even about?? Highlights of the year is it, media never misses an opportunity to pat ourselves on the back
She must be on the way up the ladder.
Yeah, I think her point was that the significance of moments like that are blown out of proportion in the tiktok age eclipsing other significant stuff
She should mention what wars Trump started 🤔
It's a very different Elaine to the one who had that daytime show on vm1.
Not worth getting people in to the studio to chat for 30 minutes about the goings on of the last year, entire show should have been about it.
Elaine goes on about Gaza, and somehow RTE had at the ready footage of the aftermath of a bombing edited in as she was speaking. So it's all been planned in advance.
What’s your point?
They dont have to plan it at all. I could get that on my phone in 5 seconds as there's so many bombs dropping on the children of Gaza.
Well yes when a country is indiscriminately bombing and killing children I think it’s only fair we are shown the footage.
Do you want it to be kept secret?
Unusually I was in favour or at least open to what all contributors were saying.
Only exception when FOT said kellie "got caught up in some anti immigration stuff"
Kellie retweeted something that didn't make a lot of sense to me, but her whole community and any poll of the country in general shows people have concerns about immigration. That's not a stick to beat her with, especially from an Irish Times luvvie.
I found the segment towards the end very moving about the ladies funeral in Carlow.
Overall the series was just about acceptable but tonight was just a "let's stick in a filler to end the year" episode. Much like Joe Duffy celebrating people who died and books nobody wants on Liveline on the radio.

What to watch? This or new show 'Out There' on VM1, could catch both with +1 channels? What first?
Strong line up for Hannon.
Interesting to see the first episode of Out There.
Which first is immaterial, politics is a marathon not a sprint.
Itll be good entertainment this evening.
I wonder if McCarroll Neilis and Roderic (ffs) will have any insightful thoughts on Trump.
(Hint,they won't)
This fella is why Trump got in.
The poor illegal "undocumented" Irish. Wonder will we have enough tents for them when they arrive back in Shannon 🤔
Roderic O'Gorman oversaw the tent policy for asylum seekers.
Perhaps they can bring him back as a tent tzar
Strange how Roderic was pretty much nowhere to be seen on these shows during the majority of his tenure to stand over his terrible policies and but give him a chance to grandstand about Trump and he’s right there
No where to be seen during the Referendums which he sponsored but he seems to be an expert on American politics.
Is Ireland the most left-wing country in Europe?
If it's not, it soon will be given the swing to the right in Europe
Is there a left wing country in Europe?
