The downfall is probably the blurry rear camera
So true 😂
Now, now 🤭🤣
I found your problem.
The first word of your post 😂
As long as no one was hurt, car can be fixed.
Wife just left me a voice note to say she reversed into a wall this morning and she's not sure how that happened.
The 15 inch screen, the sensors and the digital countdown obviously aren't enough.
Without going into it, the trade in deal fell through. So back to the drawing board. At this stage, I'm going to wait until the new year, when there should be a better choice of car and garages
I changed mine when taxing it.
that's correct. Even with the most expensive colours such as ultra red or quicksilver, it costs €40,220.
I didn't realise you can now order a RWD for under €40,000 with a colour other than white. Unless I'm missing something.
as others have said, the reg on the car isn’t quite as rigid as you might think.
if you take delivery in December, it’s registered in December and will be 242 yes.
Unless you are desperate, I can’t see any reason not to call BS and decline the delivery by a few days. The strong-arming is nonsense to be honest - you’re the one spending the €50k
It’s probably a €1-2k decision realistically.
Your profile.
where do ye actually put the address after ordering is it?
I put in a full Dublin address for the Y and changed to my home county when I realized I wasn't moving to Dublin😉
I dont have a VIN number yet, just an RN number, still awaiting on finance to be approved although i got an email from tesla finance to say it was approved, its still showing as pending on the app. I dont mind the delivery being in December, its just the fact that it will be registered as a 242 (I presume?)
This is not Tesla specific, but when buying a brand new car you can give your actual address but change the last line to Dublin, and then do a change of address online when taxing the car. I’ve never bought a new Tesla so I’m not aware of the exact order process
are you sure? I'd imagine the reg is allocated before collection with plate already on car, once done that's it!
great, thanks. can i ask what doc do they actually need after ordering the car? i mean would they ever need an address proof ? and where/at what stage do i provide the address for reg plate
Yes, you can then do a change of address when taxing the car online and the logbook and tax disc will be sent to your ‘new’ address.
If you decline you go back to the end of the queue
You cant manage delivery through the app, but as others have said it is only an estimated delivery at this stage (if you have been allocated a VIN it is more likely that car is on the way). If you are offered a delivery slot your options are to either accept it or decline. If you decline the usual practice is your order is put on hold until the date you specify (its not a case that they hold that allocated car for you) but it is less certain that you will retain any priority in the queue and you can expect that demand will be high early new year as many clients will have adopted a similar view of not wanting a car in late December. Perhaps not what you wanted to hear but at least you are better placed to make a decision at the correct time.
anyone done this before - changing the reg to D if outside Dublin
can just provide a Dublin address while ordering and later change the address when doing motor tax
All you can do is decline delivery, I wouldn't worry about it just yet as it's just estimated delivery. Tesla are however putting quite the push on, end of quarter and end of year….those accountants want sales and not inventory
Ive ordered a new Model 3 extended range, when i initially signed up it said estimated delivery date February which is perfect, but now it says estimated delivery date December, and I dont see a way of changing this. Finance is still yet to be finalised through the app although ive submitted all the necessary forms etc. Is there a way to change the delivery date at the next stage in the app does anyone know?
Cheers, so faulty connection hopefully. Hope its a simple fix.
Have you triend another USB Stick in the meantime. The Tesla USB Stick itself is known to be a weak point too.
Total failure. Nearly all EV battery’s will be above their warranties requirements at the 8 year mark(70-80%) or whatever the manufacturer states.
Lots of warning and the car still drove for about a day or 2 before they collected it.
Technically yes. It’s in their app as PDF but they would have to download it before selling as it disappears after that I believe.
I always download it and email it to myself and save into a folder. It’s generally just receipts for air filters or wipers etc
I’ve haven’t actually paid Tesla for a service since I got my 2014 Model S and wanted a full once over. That was years ago and I’ve had 4 more pass through my hands since then.
This very short lived version has a WLTP of 428km as opposed to the 409km in the previous NMC version (which I have). So the addition of the heat pump alone increased the WLTP by 19km in this car! Bjorn tested these batteries and came up with 49kWh usable. My 201 is close to 100k now and still rocking it..
I think then from 2021 and China with the LFP battery it went up again to 446km WLTP.
The 1st batch of 2021 MIC cars with the LFP battery also kept the 5.6s 0-100 time too, as thats what they were advertised at when ordered. I'm not sure what the exact cut off was, but maybe 212 and onwards cars all have the 6.1s 1-100 acceleration time.
You'll have to ask the Lease co., Tesla will not share, they never do
