Look everyone to their own, and they're probably the best of people, but their carry on gets my goat. It seems a bit to me like a case of, "when we started farming, we showed them how it should be done".

yeah im using agritech one atm. 3rd cut silage was too dry. Is going mouldy in the pit and heating. Dry cows were very loose. They dried up a good bit since going on it. Lad I know is feeding it all the time. Had fierce trouble with ecoli mastitis, reckons it's the only thing that is keeping it at bay.
yeah used mycoscorb from alltech a few years ago when we had a mouldy pit of poorly compacted silage. Did a great job
Teagasc asked our group a few days ago to do a farm profit monitor. Very important to do it and farmers have given up filling them in. Everyone protested over the lack of a labour charge and the figures being used as a stick to beat us with and policy being formed based on the figures.
Of course tragasc were adamant that would never happen. They are never published, It's the national farm survey you are thinking of. It's an EU requirement.
Today teagasc predict dairy farmers will earn 113k euro next year. JOKE. It's across all media.

It’s from lodged, soiled, maize that we harvested this year. No moulds.
Lots of grain maize being condemned due to mycotoxin contamination also.

Anyone finding insurance companies rising their quotes like mad, mine went up 30-40%. I'll be switching
Just got the renewal letter yesterday for the house insurance, gone up 32%. I’ll be ringing them and telling them I’ll pay the same as last year or I’m switching.
House, farm, contracting and jeep all with the one insurer so if I lay down the law now and end up paying more elsewhere it might be worth it when the rest of the renewals are out in the new year.

First day of my second tb test since going down today …anxious few days ahead ….i pass this I’m unrestricted for spring ….dept vets did test so long slow morning …in fairness tgeee the finest but leave nothing to chance …everything clipped and measured and both sites checked after injecting …everything will be measured Saturday too ….maby if all vets tested like this there might not be as much tb about

10kg 18% split between box and tmr. Silage and straw.Was thinking about a rumen buffer or something similar. There's no signs of upset but thinking it would do the fresh ones no harm.
