According to my Nintendo in review, I played 101 hours in march and 76 in december, my most played game is Picross s+ with 154 hours, followed by Pokémon Scarlet with 62 hours and Final Fantasy XII with 28.
The Nintendo Switch 2 and its dock, as described by the mystery Reddit leaker / I am now largely convinced that NextHandheld is legit.
Interesting read, provided what the Reddit leaker says is true, and it gives a number of new details about Switch 2.
Yeah, I was sure I played more Switch as well. But since I have a PS5 and PC, I would play third party games on those, if an option.
I would've sworn I played more Switch this year but it was mostly frontloaded around Super Mario Wonder which I got in March.
Surprised I haven't play anything since Jan, regardless once switch 2 is out il be day 1
The other game was Kirby and the Forgotten Land.
Nintendo Switch - Year in Review 2024 is now live.
I'd say the above isn't far wrong in terms of the form factor. I mean, it's going to be a 16:9 screen with controls either side of it, the options for innovation are rather slim. We'll see some optimisation and slight improvements I'd say, but overall, it'll be a mild external evolution I imagine.
What I'd like to know is, will it hit the shelves with an OLED screen or will that be kept for a refresh down the line.
I will believe it when pre-orders begin until then it's all just smoke and mirrors
Any chance we could keep the "Deffo for real, just ignore the last 5000 times it turned out to be baseless clickbait pish" rumours to the rumours thread?
Nintendo Switch 2 reference model Rundown. Showing how the Magnetic Joy-cons function.
Looks good imo. Not reinventing the wheel, but some subtle upgrades. Bring it on
Best look at the Switch 2 yet

Just to be clear, this is a mock-up.
Nintendo Switch 2 Is Projected to Sell Between 15 and 17 Million Units Next Year, 80 Million Units by 2028, With Little Competition From Sony and Microsoft
Specs are easy with Nintendo ...
60 FPS on new 3D Mario Platformer, Mario Kart
30 FPS on new 3D Zelda
That's the specs on new home console hardware and new games. With maybe higher res and some additional effects.
You'll get older games with higher frame rates and/or resolution.
Looks good to me.
Hopefully see some specs soon.
I think it's a done deal, this is the design of the Switch 2. These manufacturers can't all be faking the same images, unless they're copying one another.
Since I'm sure they have the reveal ready to go, maybe all these supposed leaks will encourage them to announce it early next month.
The case on Switch Up (supposedly for the Switch 2) looks identical to the case I got for my son's Anbernic 556, just with added cart holder. The indention either side of that case fit the shape of the 556 exactly, so I think that particular company are just chancing their arm with a handy way to get free publicity.
DBrand now getting into the mix
Authorised accessory makers would get measurement specs to be able to make accessories and have them ready for launch.
It's unknown if this is actually the case here.
Saw something from Alibaba last week as well and was thinking why would these people get the details before it's announced.
Unconfirmed: potential Nintendo Switch 2 leak from a case manufacturer
Nintendo have waited too long to reveal the Switch 2, and I think they've had a little bit of their thunder stolen.
Ok So Someone Sent Us THAT Switch 2 Mock Up & It’s CASE…We Have Thoughts
I will be so disappointed if this is the final design of Switch 2, in no small part because the awful design of the Joy-Cons are largely the same. I despise those things.
Nintendo now owns 100% of Monolith Soft
Up until recently, Monolith Soft’s founders have maintained a symbolic 4% stake in the company, but it seems Nintendo has acquired the remaining shares.
Rumour: Switch 2 will support Samsung SD Express microSD cards
If true, that would be a nice increase in transfer speeds, going from a current max 150MB per second on Switch, to 800MB per second on Switch 2.
Fairly ripping the hole out if it at this stage. That'll be over 8 years in current gen.
(RUMOUR) Nintendo Switch 2 Joycon designs leaked on Bilibili (magnets confirmed), uploader claims that production volume is not high enough for a March launch
I don't think it's real, but I'll legitimately be disgusted and disappointed if that's the design of the new controller for Switch 2.
Old Datamine Leak Hints Nintendo Switch 2 is Getting One of the Greatest Live Service Games That Recently Hit PS5, Xbox
The game in question, if you're interested, is Valorant. I hate click bait headlines.
My understanding is that Chinese government regulations are very protective about foreign businesses operating in China and normally require them to partner with a local company (hence the Tencent deal). Possibly Nintendo want to establish a Nintendo China presence, or possibly this is a negotiation tactic to see what terms they can get from other potential partners. Certainly being able to deal direct would be better, but that would depend on what operational requirements are placed on the hypothetical Nintendo China and whether they cause any conflict with Nintendo Japan or Nintendo USA...
