Starting a thread for 2025 gigs as they'll likely start rolling in.
I'll arbitrarily throw in Rob Beckett playing the Olympia on the 26th September 2025 which went on sale today.
He played VM Park in Cork this year, another come down to the smaller LATM
Fanirish - Sorry if I missed something but did you say that an announcement would come after last weekends gigs?
Realistically ATN have probably shelled out for Fontaines so I doubt they want them announcing a 40k+ gig anytime soon.
Still no word on Forbidden Fruit line up yet. They'd the first acts announced before end of November last year. If not announced this week or next they might be waiting until the new year.
Yeah I get ya. Just thought they might announce as would help with ticket sales for ATN. Guess EP usually sells out before line up even out so not an issue for them.
electric picnic and ATN never really announce that headliners are festival exclusive. Odd time they might include a “only chance to see X this summer” in a social media post but it’s always written into contracts signed between festival and artist the exact terms of exclusivity.
Guess they could Still play standalone gig seperate to ATN. Kneecap playing Fairview alright but sold out now.
As in not playing other festivals but could still play standalone gig yeah? Will they be announcing that at some stage? Would have thought they would announce at same time Fontaines were being announced
Fontaines will be a festival exclusive to ATN.
Guess as ATN haven't said Fontaines are exclusive to them it's probably a good sign. Not sure I see then playing both ATN or EP but ya never know!
Yea there was before ATN was announced, would say it’s probably unlikely now but here’s hoping. They have plenty of room in the calendar still
Not really a fan of Kneecap but seems a missed opportunity to not have Fontaines + them here
No Ireland. Yet anyway.
You would imagine it’d be Marlay Park. They sold out Finsbury which is 50k capacity 9 months ahead of time (granted London is bigger). Don’t think Malahide or St. Anne’s at 20k would do it justice considering they sold 26k for the 3Arena no bother and they were like gold dust on resale. Given all the UK summer headlines the only way I don’t see it happening is if there’s some kind of exclusivity deal with ATN (or EP yet).
put your money on 50 cent being a headliner one of the nights
Longitude announcing líne up next month
Was there some speculation that Fontaines DC might announce a headline summer gig here? Know they're playing ATN and have a fairly busy summer tour schedule so far but have a few weeks in July it looks like a gig could happen
David Gray playing St John's castle 1st of May
Cian Ducrot playing Marquee, Cork on Saturday 19th July. https://twitter.com/LATMofficial/status/1866030022244352312?t=9Str6-aHdMk9opmmEiIOhg&s=19
Corrs playing in Cork and St Annes
For any Sons of Anarchy fans out there Noah Gundersen is playing The grand Social on 9th May.
presale on VBs website.
Just saw. Not too often there's announcements on weekends or Sundays. Guess they're getting in the last few announcements before Christmas
Viagria Boys - Olympia May 2nd
I would have liked them to do an arena run this time around. They sounded great at the 3 arena back when it was Axl and friends and prices (€70 for standing) were a lot more palatable!
It did the business, it was a drop off from Slane to not be able to sell out Marlay alright but not anything like a bad return. €100 quid a ticket with Gold Circles in play, no big production and hardly broke the bank on supports.
The Netherlands date if anything ego may have took a blow there with having to downgrade the initially booked venue but that's the cost Livenation are juggling in propping some festivals close by the region.
Seems guns N roses will be skipping Ireland in 2025 according to a leaked poster for European shows. Not surprised, I don't think the show in Marlay Park a few years ago sold very well
'Diamond Mine' is such a beautiful album. His solo albums have been been a bit more hit and miss but he played a lovely gig in Roisin's a few years back.
Vicar st I presume? They have only ever been aiken and I cant see them attempting the 3arena
In Belfast as well. The Dublin and Belfast gigs both coincide with Alabama 3 playing their first two albums the same nights.
😂😂
