just a place for everyone who are applying for this years recruitment stage
the test has changed tif you look it up on line it’s all the same except for 600 metre run it’s now 30 x20 metre in 3 min 40
I think you just have to submit your highest qualification in order to prove you satisfy the minimum requirements, that been a level 5 with certain grades.
I don't believe you have to submit everything you have ever studied. I didn't submit my leaving cert, I don't have a copy handy.
Now PAS may get back to me and say otherwise, but as of now that's my understanding.
There is a bleep test. A 15 metre one where you run up and down 40 times and have to have it done I'm 3 mins 30 secs and there there is another one where you run but it's handier and then you have to do few strength tests I think bench press 35 kgs a few times and hold out a shield or fire extinguisher
do we have to submit college results also?
Hi Guys, congratulations to everyone that passed the interview and is moving onto the next stage, I just have a quick query about the leaving cert and college results, that we need to submit I have both copies of my leaving cert and college transcripts, however I don't have a copy of the QQI Level 5 and 6 that I completed before college, despite contacting the college numerous times looking for them. My question is do you think my leaving cert results and college results would be enough to cover me?
Thanks in advance for any advice :)
interview starts you’ll get introduction and be given 5 mins to read over the role play then 5 minutes of role play , next is run through of application form and then each interviewer will examine certain competencies but will tell you which ones they are examining.
have you got any date for your interview yet?
Can some one give us a detailed break down of the interview please.
that’s brilliant, well done. And no date for mine yet.
Had the interview less than a week ago and got the email today, I passed. PAS really, really on the ball.
interview passed! how did u do?
how did you get on?
results out
can take notes during the role play, but main interview it says all you are allowed is a blank copy of application so you can revert back if there’s anything you think they missed etc and you want to talk about
you are allowed take notes for the role play but I don’t think you are allowed notes during the interview
just looking for some information from the people that already sat their interviews! Are you allowed to have notes next to you?
I did question them on that at the end of the interview and they said we should expect to hear in the next few weeks! but to keep an eye on our public jobs accounts :) i’d be guessing after christmas but from reading previous boards it seems to be a slow process
Can you give us more details or examples please. Is the role play and competencies combined?
I recently had mine also, role play appeared to go well and I had examples for competencies prepared.
Any idea when the next OOM will issue after the first batch of interviews ?
just had my interview there, went really well i think! follows usual format rule play first, then competencies will be examined! once you’ve done your prep work you will be absolutely fine! there was nothing there that could catch you off guard as long as you put in the ground work ☺️
How did interview go for those who had it this week? Did it follow usual format?
as far as I’m aware the fitness test is done on the first day of training
And if passed how long till fitness test?
I spoke to someone in public jobs after the results. They said they anticipated about 120 candidates would be interviewed in December, with 150 being invited to interview monthly thereafter.
anyone any idea how many people the called in the first batch ?
Well done all for passing and good luck on the interviews. Would love to hear how they go and what we should prepare for.
best of luck everyone doing their interviews this week, let us know how it goes.
best of luck with the interviews tomorrow lads..let us know how ya get on..mine is mid week I’m bricking it
just received familiarisation material, role play is very much still a part of the process!
