Anyone know about the extremely fresh Lely Robot on Donedeal in Kilkenny?
Anyone buy 3/4 inch down lately. 15 +vat delivered here. Good or bad
Just ring the lad im sure hell tell u the full story
The 2020 one, unless your upgrading a robot the dealers offer a pittance for a machine like the above if your exiting, issue with buying a robot private then is getting the local lely dealer to look after it
Yes they offer poor buy back alright. But I know definitely a new customer has no issue getting them fitted it's a fixed fee and then there's the normal service contracts etc to be ironed out you would need to get a robot cheap to buy outside of a dealership.
I see we ll all be building again
yes i see the goal post have shifted once more 🫠
yep 20% more storage …..and despite the talk pre election we will need planning in order to get tamms ….hopefully reference costs will have increased …for concrete in particular
Is this another "potential change", "could happen", "discussions about", "sources said" in the IFJ?
Or has it been confirmed by DAFM?
This is basically confirmed department tasked teagasc with researching this and it will be part of any new nap going forward from 2026
When you see the bother lads are getting in when going for planning with Mr sweetman objecting, cutting back cow numbers will be a safer option
the only good thing about that cretin is that he’s over 80 so hopefully nature takes its course shortly
Would you need planning to replace an existing slurry tower?
There was talks of a fast track planning system being put in place for it but more than likely that went with the election
our farm group met yesterday and advisor said as much
It's a funny one, argumentsake they bring in the 20% rule for 2026, farmer applies for planning sweetman et al object and its tied up with an bord phealna, will the department be categorising farmer as non-compliant when an other state body is refusing them planning to become compliant
I presume most know who the cork based farmer is , he was defending it on twitter over the weekend
Cannot understand why he was using it when the coop or government hadn’t asked/permitted for it to be used
Some people love to be a hero
On another note she's a piece of work too ....
Arla is facing a huge backlash to some of there farmers trailing methane reducing products
Bovaer: What is the cattle feed additive and why is it leading to shoppers pouring milk down the toilet? | UK News | Sky News
It's complete nonsense. Co-ops using an add-on product to reduce methane levels to try to impress NGO types (consumers don't care), but now the add-on product is putting consumers off.
You just have to shake your head at times.
I think they would be of the opinion you should destock until you are compliant
Yes they will. Building more storage is not the only way to become compliant
What are people paying roughly for accountants for company accounts (and my own personal returns as well I suppose)?
My own man has been shoving up the fees quietly over the past few years and there's new charges coming in next year for payroll services that I don't want that'll see the fee go over 4k. Standard 80-90 cow dairy, docs gathered very neatly (in my opinion).
Before I go in all guns blazing, I'd like to know if that is indeed on the high side.
New zealand ain't too worried

This is a huge issue with technology on farms unless it's supported by outside company it becomes obsolete very quick.
Same with new tractors unless you have the diagnostics nothing can be fixed.
Technology never reduces costs, when farmers have ploughed huge sums of money into any technology they are completely at the mercy of the service provider
That couple are some dose, a bunch of notice boxes, they're an embarrassment tbh. You'd remember their likes from school.
Paper never refused ink.
Just because he may be circling the drainhole does not mean he can't send his lovely emails to the council.
She was very good and did the country proud in her tv program with the farming community in Africa. Know nothing about them. But she was outstanding in that and the producers let her be that way in it. There was none of the "Euw gross" and "I'm tired" or "I can't do that" if a city woman or even the likes of Rosanna Davison were sent out.
3 lely a4's sitting in a shed locally took out 2 years ago, father was at a funeral yesterday chatting the man and he jokingly offered him them free to take away, he went back to a 24 unit parlour
My nephew claims that his will pay for themselves with the increase in milk production.
He claims the increase due to them being milked 2.4 times/day
