The Hyundai INSTER sub-compact EV with 355km range will be officially released later this month. It was teased today and based on the CASPER ICE model available in some markets. Thoughts?
do all the car company dealers add delivery charges etc? price quoted should be the final price for consumer.
Is there a radio in these yokes or do you have to use your phone?
It's probably 1200 for delivery, 500 for gap insurance and 300 for lifeshine or something else like that.
A mate of mine was quoted 21k for the lowest trim which is 19k on the price list. Including all charges, and no metallic paint. 2k for delivery is nuts.
Airside quoted 23,550 for the launch edition trim. that includes delivery charges and metallic paint.
Got a call from the local dealer today - they said the car should be delivered mid January. Going to view the demo model this coming Wednesday as they'll have it in Limerick for one day.
Certain model Nissan Leafs have had similar since 2016 or so.
A great parking tool.
It has a 3 pin socket under the main dash so I guess you could plug them in 😊
when i was in my 30's i was the proud owner of the granny-loving honda jazz, one of the greatest pieces of engineering ever to come out of japan. i couldn't give a rats ass who the insters primary target market is… the jones's next door can sneer all they like, there's a good chance i'll be getting one of these second hand in 3 years time 🤣
Just missing kettle and toaster. With all seats down one can live in this. Seriously, a lot of car for 20k. Can't wait to take one out for spin.
It hasn't been tested yet.
anyone knows abt NCAP ratings for this?
heated seats and steering wheel, decent interiors, automatic lane centring, smart cruise with stop and go, parking sensors with camera. 5 year warranty 20K for base model.. Good deal
That’s what it says on the website. I ll find out soon, I am sure when they ring me. I will report back once I hear from the dealer.
thats good to know, so the price we order online is the final price?
Ordered Signature 42kW (Black one) online. For some reason didn't get the option to nominate the dealer when ordering but got an email 10min later asking if my local dealer would be OK and said they would be in touch to confirm the delivery date. So far much better process than ringing around being given different prices by different dealers.
Is this supposed to put the macho men off?
anyone who owned or have seen an id3 know how it compares to inster ? couple of used id3 in market for sub 20k range.
Just a reminder - that's to whom the Inster is being primarily marketed. An electric Micra or Figaro for the modern girl about town! 😅
I saw it in Hyundai Dundrum and the sales guy said the light interior was a limited time option and only available on the launch version which only comes with buttercream yellow paint.
Even while trying her best to push for a sale - the salesperson I was talking suggested that the light coloured interior is a permanent option.
Intriguing because you'd think she'd push the idea that light coloured interior was a limited time only option.
Mind you it wouldn't be the first time a Hyundai salesperson was not on top of the info right??????
Thanks, that makes sense
The top spec model I saw had roof rails and no panoramic roof.
There was what looked like heated seat buttons but i didn't try them.
The spec details on Hyundai Irelands site says that both models have heated front seats....
can anyone who has seen the car in person confirm this?
under heated seats button it's has 2 empty buttons for models in UK/Europe. In Korea they have ventilated seats too
It's not a perfect composite. You'll note from the picture I posted that there'll be some misalignment where the camera views connect and overlap. Often seen with kerbs in the overhead view. But it can be extremely clear and show details like painted parking lines and other surface markings. Some also show front and rear wheel direction so you can tell where the steering lock is relative to the car's position.
Virtual! That's what I was missing.
Thanks for your patience.
It's a virtual view of the top of the car. The cameras provide views of the areas to the sides and front and back. The feeds are composited and the virtual overhead view is created. That's how.
How does a camera mounted at bumper level give a view of the roof of another car?
It IS the view from the cameras.
Am I missing something? The picture was an ariel view of the car. It didn't show the cameras or the view from the cameras. How was it relevant please?
