Outcome a foregone conclusion... 4more years of ffg. There will still be a housing crisis, disgraceful " infrastructure " , world's most expensive hospital and bike shed... paid for by the Irish elite on 44,000 and over , paying 50c in the euro in direct tax...

Not a single credible party to vote for... options vary from the left , to the far left...

Mod: Folks, can we please be mindful when linking articles to check the dates they were published. Linking articles from 2013 (11 years ago) or 2003 (we had this in another thread recently) does not help your argument, it looks incredibly disingenuous which could be considered as bad faith posting/trolling. I think that protecting the planet is important but like @JupiterKid said instead of presenting that message in a way that will bring people with you, they don’t do that. There’s a “I’m right and your wrong” vibe off them.

A new Exit Poll suggests that Fine Gael and Sinn Féin are virtually tied when it comes to first preference votes with Fianna Fáil slightly further back, making the result of General Election 2024 too close to call.
The Exit Poll, carried out by Ipsos Behaviour and Attitudes for RTÉ, The Irish Times, TG4 and Trinity College Dublin, indicates all three parties are separated by just 1.6%, with the margin of error at 1.4%.
Fine Gael is on 21%; Fianna Fáil secured 19.5%; while Sinn Féin obtained 21.1%.

They think everyone has 150k to retrofit their house, get solar panels, heat pumps, electric car etc.. because a lot of their friends do. Meanwhile a lot are struggling to pay ever increasing rents and food bills.

Those who spew against politics and politicians in general, amuse me. Countries need a government, one which on the whole works for the people. We get those types of government's - look at places like Nigeria, Congo etc if you think ours are bad. It's a difficult job, but we have democracy so if you can do better, run yourself.

Spoiling votes, not voting - stop complaining, you had a vote, you didnt use it. Nobody "worth voting for" ? Run yourself.

Compare that to Harris and Martin, who were in unison.

The Left parties have had 5 yrs + to form an alliance. Nobody to blame but themselves.

There's a lot of contenders for that title, especially since the late 90s. Micheal Martin was poor, James Reilly was also dreadful. Varadkar was atrocious given his medical background, Simon Harris was unremarkable but the worst in my view was Barry Cowen. Shipped anything health related in the Midlands to Tullamore rather than favouring the larger town in Portlaoise.

Agree. This is the point that most in the twitter echo chamber don't realise. Those who vote for FF & FG are happy with the state of the nation. They don't shout their voting preferences from the rooftops, they just quietly vote for who they want.
