I think it will be FF/FG again with god knows who. Hopefully a left wing party
It will be November 15th
SF could surge yet.
This has already been done to death here - constituency betting is a tiny volume market and is easily distorted by any bets
-4 in an election week could be called ‘being in freefall.’ Doesn’t take into account Harris trending all weekend for all the wrong reasons too. Still to come, the debate he ran away from and one he clearly fears but couldn’t avoid. Fascinating week ahead.
I’m no FG supporter but I’d say Harris needs a huge performance in the 3 way debate, which I think is tomorrow night.
Are TV3 doing a debate? I'd rather that than an RTE Bailout influenced debate. Will RTE have Simon and Michael holding hands with Mary Lou on a Teams call?
I’m not sure ganging up on MLMD will work. In fact I think it would be transparent and suicidal especially for FG. FF must smell blood in the water and if they don’t now go to town on FG I think we can accept they have merged in all but name.
No TV3 debate btw
They could but I think it would have emerged in polls, the signs were there in 2020, they're not now. They're still going to do very well with something in the region of 35 seats.
When they have been in power since the foundation of the state, the last two decades or so, will obscene amounts of money… Just bear with them another twenty years, they promise they will deliver this time…
Chris Andrews will certainly not be elected in Dublin Rathdown.
He is a candidate in Dublin Bay South. He could well be in the scrap for the last seat, but a lot of competition for that honour.
Anyone with some more of the results from the Ireland thinks Sindo poll? It’s behind a paywall so can’t see
The bike shed was not a Gov decision.
It was the Leinster House budget that paid for it, and the OPW who specified the expensive requirements for it.
The OPW are not fit for purpose, the bike shed is the scratching the surface of the farce that is the OPW
And approved by the dail public accounts committee - where SF had the chair.
But they forgot to ask for the price.
I’m no SF fan, but I think Harris ganging up on MLMD would be Harris’s big mistake. She really riled him last Monday & I’ve no doubt she’ll get under his skin again tomorrow night. He is way out of his league going on recent days performances.
Often times when the reported instances of something jump by a large amount the reason is because the definition of what falls under a category is broadened. I would be very interested to see the breakdown of those teenage disability numbers.
Do the audience get to participate at any points in these debates? Which I dont watch, for several reasons. Supporting RTE would be one…
Here it is:

Only 2 competent politicians here on this panel, and they aren’t from SF or FF
Down 4 points in polls 5 days before an election. Was the poll before Simon’s fiasco in the shop? FF and SF odds shortening on the betting market, FF almost favourite now. FG looked to have this in the bag a few weeks ago. The debate tomorrow night won’t help them either if the first debate is anything to go by.
Yeah and now Harris wants to hide the OPW in some other department so that their waste is less visible.
No, poll was before he blanked the disability care worker.
Poll was before Care Worker embarrassment. There's also a debate tonight were apparently they will have an empty podium because Harris refused to take part. In the 'how to implode your campaign yourself' stakes Simon is the clear winner. All the main media leading with his gaffs and failures.
Absolute car crash stuff tbh
Comes across as arrogant, why anyone would vote for him is beyond me. He offers nothing
EDIT: the 3 way leaders debate is on Tuesday night on RTÉ1 @ 21h35, which will be (sadly imho) be hosted by Miriam O’Callaghan.
She shouldn’t be anywhere near that debate for a number of reasons
Revisiting this discussion as Ivan Yates has made his predictions.
He's with you on Harris topping the poll, but he doesn't think he'll bring Timmins with him.
He agrees Whitmore has a safe seat.
He also thinks Brady is safe.
RE fourth seat, he thinks Matthews is a goner, because despite any local goodwill to him personally, there is very bad blood locally to the Greens because Eamonn Ryan vetoed the N11 upgrade. This is a fair point.
And he also thinks Donnelly is in trouble, for similiar reasons discussed here.
He called the fourth seat for Shay Cullen, ex FG Indo.
I'd be quite happy with all that!
It's worth a listen:

What channel is that debate on?
Is it me or has Paschal become very stroppy? He seems to be angry a lot.
I wonder could FG have done with some of the retirees coming out and helping on the canvass e.g. Coveney, Leo, Heather. I mean, they are still Fine Gael.
Harris, Paschal and McEntee are struggling.
Sky News I think also live on TOday FM
Where’s the debate on tonight? I’ve checked & all I can find is repeat of TWIP, which I’m looking at now.
