Well yeah. But queues generate queues. These are all the hot ticket in town. Some like him, some know people who like him, whatever. Maybe it was always like this. Hard to escape the impression that it's less about the music than it used to be.
there is different levels of music enjoyment and sure if some people who don’t go to many shows a year but want to spend €100 to hear songs/artists they like then let them go ahead. We don’t all need to be obsessives. Prefer them to those Taylor Swift superfans who are on other extreme

Fully agree. The overwhelming majority of people are going to artists they like or festivals they enjoy. Even if they’re going for the excitement of the event that’s fine by me as long as they don’t yap their way through it.

Absolutely agree with this. I rather people going to attend a show who they enjoy and actual listen to then the people who are going just to tick off a box and say they went to that show.
Going to countless gigs doesn’t make someone an expert. It’s the passion, connection, and understanding of the music that really matters, often those who don't regular attend shows often have a more emotional connection from experience.
