Garden Lighting Connections/Standards

I have a string of LED lights around the garden and an outdoor socket, but they don't reach. I bought an extension cable on Amazon but the pins don't line up. I'm having trouble identifying the name of the standards in use so that I can buy the right thing next time. Can someone help?

Pictured are the female end of the extension and the lights, and the male end of the extension and the lights. In both cases, the smaller connector is on the extension I bought.

The bad news is that there isn't a 'standard' for low-voltage DC!

Your best bet might be to make waterproof junction boxes to house a bunch of screw-terminals and use glands to seal off the wire ingress.
