Hotel rates…
might be easier just to state the speed limit to keep the simple maths for people…..
Canyousee the stalker thankers LOL
Careful who you vote for 😁
I’m not sure. I didn’t think of asking when they phoned to confirm the appointment.
Depends who you cansee is asking or stalking us…. :)
References to heating and AC not particularly applicable to a modern EV, especially any Tesla - don't spend a moment thinking about it.
Driving style and weather/road conditions are the big factors in range variability.
The supercharger network is absolutely brilliant if your route lines up neatly with the locations - and assuming it does it's the best charging solution in the land.
Our first test drive was the RWD (60kWh standard range), lovely car, sold on it, could make the range work for us, 7s to 100 was a step up from what we had. Then when the price dropped again, I took the LR (AWD) for a test drive. Turned left at the lights at the Beacon onto the R133, straightened it up and floored it. That was the 'Uga Buga' moment that cost us €8k right there 😀Your choice will be between a 6s and a 5s car though, so not so big a difference.
add AB and then it’s a 4.x second car 😂
maybe I should avoid the R133 might cost me a fortune! 😂 😂
recent fatalities that may have even caused by people not being able to exit the car. https://www.fastcompany.com/91227786/teslas-latest-tragic-fire-is-a-reminder-of-why-cars-need-old-school-door-handles
Reading about these, and all that I can come to is that they didn't know about the door handles?
The rear ones are a nuisance though, in the rear door pockets and under the rubber mat. That's dangerous IMO
You can buy pull straps that make them always on show, but you shouldn't have to do that in this day and age!
the first example of a realistically priced model y …?

Looking for over 60% of new price for what's effectively a 3 year old car? I think they'll need to knock a bit more off.
On the upside you get USS I think, on the downside a stiffer suspension which many don't like.
Yes i think it was 222 before the "softer" suspension came in. A quick check, and this may not be perfectly accurate, if it has the OEM factory parcel shelf, its the newer suspension.
No I don't think it was the LR, it's a pretty standard model as far as I know.
Might be a difficult pill to swallow. Those 221 reg model Ys sold for north of 70k
Just back from test driving the MY - absolutely loved it, took it on the motorway then the back roads through stepaside. so impressed by absolutely everything, the only negative I had was although the boot is massive, it was quite narrow to fit the dog crates in, but when I dropped the seats the floor was level and I could work with this. (First world problems! 😂😂)
Anyway, need to sit down and decide if I should go brand new or go for a second hand car which seem to be reasonably priced atm especially in the U.K. with no VRT to pay when imported. 🤨
no vrt, since when? You mean import from NI?
VRT will apply to UK imports. Imports from Northern Ireland are exempt. as long as car has been registered there for at least 3 months, preventing cars from UK coming in through NI trying to evade VRT. If your budget can stretch to a new.. its the way to with the incentives of low finance APR, Referral discount and free supercharging for a year.
Edit: my mistake i confused VRT with vat. for private imports from the UK VAT is payable@23%, whereas if imported from Northern Ireland there is no vat as long as the car was registered there for at least 3 months. specific details can be found on the Revenue website
as per the revenue website, maybe it’s not correct though?
They may have been assuming a new purchase, which would have a little VRT applied. But a used purchase under threshold - correct, no VRT.
No VRT but from the UK, you'll pay VAT/Customs charges.
apologies I confused VRT with VAT in my earlier comment. factor in 23% vat in your calculations as it is material
Holy moly, it looks like this feature may be coming soon 😄

Hopefully another one of my next idea previously submitted to scramble pin pad for extra security get going too.
Was looking at pulling the trigger on the current Y model but can't help but think I'll regret it the first time I drive past the incoming updated Y version... Anyone in the same boat and we're they able to reconcile it with themselves? 😔😔
if I was sitting here with the cash waiting to buy a Y, I’d personally wait too.
Only question would be if you like stalks and PDC sensors over the new model without. Although you can add the stalks from the same company that make those S3XY button things.
latest Tesla app now allows watch to be paired and used as a key.
Seemly dashcam and sentry viewing on phone or direct download through the app too.
Part of this years holiday update so it seems.
Yeah I think I'd be the same. I don't want a Y (even though I had an S, 3 and X!) but if I were buying a Y now, I'd buy a used one, probably from graham walker or the likes. A new one this close to Juniper is likely to feel outdated very quickly.
That being said, there's often sweeteners in place like 12 months free supercharging or 0.99% finance etc. Makes it a lot cheaper than the new variant. Depends what your priority is I suppose.
As a former 3 owner, the new 3 is night and day vs my 222 model.
Can anyone explain what the story is with this "Ranger" service I've seen mentioned before? A technician comes to your property rather than having to go to the service centre is it? How does one avail of this? Is it only available close to Dublin?
I've only had the car two months, and I installed two software updates in the time - both times now, after the update, the car touchscreen will not power on once the car has been asleep - it stays blank, and cannot be woken up from the app either. The car can drive, but obviously its extremely dangerous to do so without the screen, speedo etc.
Sometimes the screen will work after trying the two button reset, but not always. Sometimes coming back to the car after some time and just opening the door will wake it, sometimes not.
The last time it happened, I had to make a service appointment for a week or so, and had to keep sentry mode on all the time to stop the car sleeping until I brought it in, where all they did was install the next software update and I think unplug the 12v battery to "hard" reset it. The car was working as expected then until the software update last night where its back to the same behaviour. Infuriating.
To say I am pissed with this car is an understatement. Never mind the fact that I had to go to the service centre again yesterday (after a month wait for an appointment) to replace the amplifier, as there was no sound from any speaker except the one under the windscreen.
I am assuming this is not something others have experienced?
So this "Ranger" thing, I'd much rather them come to me to try and sort this (especially if its only to disconnect the 12v or something), but how do I arrange that does anyone know?
I've those stalks ordered, will let ye know how it goes in March!
