I love the way they have taken the architect's vision of an airy, floating - um, shed - and stuck a couple of sheds under its wings.
Something different. It would be a cool air b&b but I wouldn't like to live in it full-time

Don't worry, that grinning idiot Maggie will be along any minute and have this on her show as a nice fixer upper for any young couple starting out.
Massively overpriced. As a house I like it though.
My sister is paying near €2,000 fees for her shithole duplex in Meath.
Basically she gets the bins collected and a road sweeper comes in twice a year.
Weeds all over the place and bushes/trees all over grown.
No boundary is a disaster, way overpriced… plus €2k per annum fees
Photo 6 reminds of the scene in Trainspotting.
No septic tank, .14 acres. You are not going to get pp for a septic tank and even a wts seems unlikely. You see all those boggy rushes at the back of the cottage? And the fact there is no septic tank?
I wonder is it on mains water?
A 40 ft pole would not be long enough.
No running water, no septic tank, asbestos, shared right of way to get to it, miniscule and mostly falling down - even as a site you'd nearly need to be paid to take that on!
Fabulous part of the world, though!
I love how the show Silver Strand (12km away) and Glen folk village (4km away) like they're just over the fence!
Me looking at this: Looks ok, living room is sound, bedroom looks ok, no obvious signs of the place falling down. Then I got to the bathroom photo 🤢. Why did they even bother taking that pic? Transparency, I suppose

Yes, where is your boundary? And do you actually own the patch of land it's built on?
It's very holiday-homey looking - lovely house, and bigger than it looks in the pictures (I thought it was more like a small cottage) - but yeah, on the grounds of a hotel, with lots of other houses around, most of which seem to be part of the hotel offering, and no private space at all - no thanks!
half a million quid for a 3 bed with no privacy? no thanks.
I liked it a lot more before I discovered it was one of 10-12 similar houses on a cul de sac with no outdoor privacy to speak of. There don't seem to be back yards/gardens, just the communal grass all around. The maintenance fees are high enough at 2k per year. It's not a bad house, it seems cosy.
7 The Woodlands, Mount Falcon, Ballina, Co. Mayo, F26V3K2 is for sale on Daft.ie
I like it, but not the price. Plus are you going to have people/tourists wandering
around your garden while visiting the tower/castle next door.
they're more of a job coach type.
Yeah, well … it's easier to have your chakra's aligned when you're not having to stress over where your next meal or rent payment is coming from.
It isn't the neighbour that would put you off more any unexpected visitors they might have. The owner of that place though is some wellness/guru type.
That last church conversion - the Waterford one - I like but I'm not getting the step down from kitchen to dining room. Imagine coming down with a heavy casserole in your hands and trying to manage the stairs, especially as you get a bit older.
Never understand why a developer builds all these (luxury) homes with north facing back gardens when there was ample space to add another road and make them south facing (assuming that Coldwater Lakes road was already there).
Jesus everyone of the new houses posted today has made an appearance before. Getting forgetful eh!..
If you some digging on the old internet a bit of a story emerges.
Oh I'd have that in a heartbeat! A quarter acre of carpet on top of those abominable shiny tiles on the ground floor, and I'd be sorted.
Love it!
I've been that foreigner. The thing is, the disparity in price between what you seem to get there compared to everywhere else should make you dig a little. Once you dig a little Google quickly starts painting a picture.
There's a 2023 book called 'Cocaine Cowboys' in which this development gets mentioned. I think one of the cowboys actually funded the development.
I don't know if anyone has posted this, but someone took the time to actually refurb one of these places. It is not the worst but you could get a decent place in Wicklow for the same money with neighbours that would worry you less.

I said it before but, I kinda like this. It's a bit crap in places but I think with a bit of imagination it could be a cool space to live in.
I thought someone splat the cat that shát on the mat.
I did a Google image search on it and it looks like a wallaby or kangaroo skin, which makes sense given the shape, especially the 'tail'.
She could be on to something.
Price on application.
I won't be applying for that architectural eye burner!
Houses like these on this thread fascinate me, its like looking into the past. I can often relate to the decor and furnishings of these houses - takes me back to my folks place.
my wife commented that it looks like the headquarters of a cult.
