they're more of a job coach type.
7 The Woodlands, Mount Falcon, Ballina, Co. Mayo, F26V3K2 is for sale on Daft.ie
I like it, but not the price. Plus are you going to have people/tourists wandering
around your garden while visiting the tower/castle next door.
I liked it a lot more before I discovered it was one of 10-12 similar houses on a cul de sac with no outdoor privacy to speak of. There don't seem to be back yards/gardens, just the communal grass all around. The maintenance fees are high enough at 2k per year. It's not a bad house, it seems cosy.
half a million quid for a 3 bed with no privacy? no thanks.
It's very holiday-homey looking - lovely house, and bigger than it looks in the pictures (I thought it was more like a small cottage) - but yeah, on the grounds of a hotel, with lots of other houses around, most of which seem to be part of the hotel offering, and no private space at all - no thanks!
Yes, where is your boundary? And do you actually own the patch of land it's built on?
Me looking at this: Looks ok, living room is sound, bedroom looks ok, no obvious signs of the place falling down. Then I got to the bathroom photo 🤢. Why did they even bother taking that pic? Transparency, I suppose

No running water, no septic tank, asbestos, shared right of way to get to it, miniscule and mostly falling down - even as a site you'd nearly need to be paid to take that on!
Fabulous part of the world, though!
I love how the show Silver Strand (12km away) and Glen folk village (4km away) like they're just over the fence!
No septic tank, .14 acres. You are not going to get pp for a septic tank and even a wts seems unlikely. You see all those boggy rushes at the back of the cottage? And the fact there is no septic tank?
I wonder is it on mains water?
A 40 ft pole would not be long enough.
Photo 6 reminds of the scene in Trainspotting.
No boundary is a disaster, way overpriced… plus €2k per annum fees
Massively overpriced. As a house I like it though.
My sister is paying near €2,000 fees for her shithole duplex in Meath.
Basically she gets the bins collected and a road sweeper comes in twice a year.
Weeds all over the place and bushes/trees all over grown.
Don't worry, that grinning idiot Maggie will be along any minute and have this on her show as a nice fixer upper for any young couple starting out.
Something different. It would be a cool air b&b but I wouldn't like to live in it full-time

I love the way they have taken the architect's vision of an airy, floating - um, shed - and stuck a couple of sheds under its wings.
At first glance I thought it was another church conversion. Then I saw there waas more than one.
They look more like they were built as holiday chalets, rather than permanent homes. Where do you hang out the washing, or put the bins?
Perfect for a cult, though.
so many rooms with so few windows..
Just catching up, and I was thinking I like reading the comments first sometimes, before actually looking at the houses.
Just as well there was a photo to illustrate in this case! 😁
Thought it looked quite interesting from the outside though didn’t love it. However, it’s quite ordinary on the inside. Not sure what I expected but something a bit more exciting anyway.
Apart from the price and gardens, I like that.
The price is not that high considering what it would get for that money in Dublin. You probably would not buy a site and build it for that either. I love all the light upstairs. It really funny how the architect / builder goes to the trouble and expense and steelwork of having the living room cantilevered out, and then the owner puts a garden shed underneath. As if to say, f*** you to modern architects. Why did you not build me storage for my shed things?
Like the ladder to clean the windows upstairs?
It looks like one of those barn / container home conversions seen on Grand Designs.
I'm not a fan of cantilevers!
Probably done so they could get more space on they same foot print. They only make sense to me if it is over a cliff or hill. They also require a lot of insulation as air temperature is lower than ground during the winter and higher in the summer. You can see there is damage already on the underside with wood looking like rot might have started
that's probably just the finish and not the wood itself.
Another remodelled church - that spiral stairs could be tricky to negotiate after a heavy night out though….
St Bartholomews, Lynally, Tullamore, Co Offaly, R35FY61 is for sale on Daft.ie
jesus they could have made a bit more effort tidying it up, making beds etc for the pics.
Oh yeah, the "let's watch someone shower while we eat" church conversion!
Well if you have a nice body and want to show it off without getting into trouble. Just shower away and say sorry I didn't have time to shower earlier.
I'm viewing on mobile so the images are a bit small.
Until I zoomed in, I thought the front of that house was an insect hotel! 😳
Apologies if posted already but this seems like a steal for a roof (plus a lawn) over your head….
