Condenser trap on a Grant condenser outdoor boiler

Hi all,
Anyone know what all this brown crud is on the condenser trap on our boiler? what could be the cause for it? - can I just clean it with, I dunno a mixture of vinegar and baking soda maybe, and just re-use it or will I just buy a new unit? (condenser trap that is).

Hi Andy, condensate is slightly acidic due to the carbon dioxide from the flue and you can get deposits which harden over time. I'd just rinse it with water as vinegar is the same acidic/pH level as the condensate.
