Starting a thread for 2025 gigs as they'll likely start rolling in.
I'll arbitrarily throw in Rob Beckett playing the Olympia on the 26th September 2025 which went on sale today.
There are still general admission tickets available - just not front standing
Same 2nd album doesn't make their top 5 for me tbh, strange one to revisit.
A quick look I've seen all but 4 tracks off it at previous shows without needing a dedicated set.
I tried to pick up tickets for my daughter and her friends in the MCD presale this morning but was 9000 in the queue and there were none left 13 minutes later when I got in. That doesn't bode well for picking up General Sale tickets on Friday. Has anyone heard any chatter about a second date the night before or after? EDIT: Scratch that. I just logged in again and had no problem picking up four tickets. I guess at 9:13 when there were none available there were groups of people who had multiple members with the same tickets in the baskets but only one needed to complete the purchase. Either that or MCD increased the allocation.
The Wolfe Tones will play an extra date in Limerick on Friday, July 11, 2025
No bother, I saw him there when he played the Olympia, met him and all beforehand by pure chance, dead sound
Bought a ticket myself he's so underrated it's unbelievable he's an amazing discography
Good call! I took your advice and stuck that on this evening. My better half was walking in and out and asked about it. She decided she liked it too so now she's going to come to the gig as well. I had thought this was one I would be going to on my own so that's a pleasant surprise.
Hopefully they'll do other tunes in December, I know they didn't for the London show
Be disappointing if they excluded 'Fairytale Of New York' given the time of the Dublin gig. Suppose 'Dark Streets Of London' gets the 'Christmas' reference out of the way
December show is also full album - Red Roses For Me. Nowhere near as popular as Rum, Sodomy & the Lash though so I reckon the tour will sell well and they'll keep playing. If I Should Fall From Grace tour to follow in 2028.
Yeah could well be. Possibly ATN or EP?
They announced none last year before Christmas if I recall as they were looking for a new location.
Think it was March before alot were announced and as a result it sold poorly.
Never heard of Chris Kent.
another 3 or 4 to be announced including the dance music Saturday night mini festival bill
Chris Kent doing Marquee. Think that's 16 events announced now. Can't be many more acts to be still announced. Don't think they'd announced so many by this time last year.
Chris Kent the comedian for the marquee
Say they might do a few venues around Ireland
Im guessing December has sold enough tickets to be still going ahead. The tour in 2025 possibly a lot more stronger if it's a 'full album show'
I enjoyed their set, but the older stuff stands out. I'd be very keen on seeing them do the debut but not worth a return trip to Dublin for me.
Fantastic thank you just seen this after looking all day, looks like someone guessed the code/link by the sounds of it.
Really looking forward to this one, only seen him once I think it was his first appearance in Ireland 5 years back, was front row when he dived off the stage and broke his leg mid set! Still kept on performing.
yeah I’m sure the anniversary element justifies a button factory just about
I got them mixed up with the Yeah Yeah Yeahs, the eejit I am..! Coffee time I think :P
Saw them play The Village/Opium on that album tour. Weak tea.
They played the Roisin Dubh two years ago, and only half full. Button Factory twice that size, and about right I'd think for 2025, particularly if only one Irish gig. Whelan's last time.
I see NME are saying Pogues doing UK and Ireland tour next year for 40 years of Rum, Sodomy And The Lash. No Irish dates or venues in the article but maybe they're waiting until after the December gig to announce? https://www.nme.com/news/music/the-pogues-announce-2025-uk-and-ireland-tour-celebrating-40-years-of-rum-sodomy-the-lash-3813788

Oh nice one!

Should interest some here.
sure most of the time 3 arena shows are sold out on presale windows
Don't think I've ever seen it turned on. It's a pain
couldn’t be bothered. Agents/promoters don’t want it known when arena show hasn’t sold. List goes on
Why don’t Ticketmaster use the interactive map for every 3 Arena gig? They have it turned on for the second night of Fontaines
Hopefully add one after the last UK date. Would also love if was Blast Tyrant rather than self-titled, but sure it couldn't be a bad show with who is involved
Clutch announced a UK tour for Dec next year playing their self titled album in full, no irish dates
