In fairness, anyone could hit that % simply by backing incumbents. Incumbent TDs are overwhelmingly likely to retain their seat in any election.

SF have shifted to the right over a decade in an attempt to get into government but in general they are seen as an anti establishment force and in fairness many of their members are of that mindset..There are sections of people who are disappointed with them in working class areas and obviously they've been targeted by the far right types exploiting the issue of migration.
There are definitely certain types that will vote for Hutch. But they do not have the cop on to realise what a bad decision that would be for many reasons. The common comment online/or in person you see from Hutch "supporters" is that is less of gangster than many already in DE. That is the mindset of his potential voter pool.

The point someone tried to make and fail (after coming on as some sort of floating voter but got caught) was that the current government was causing housing issues due to being exposed to property.
Now (and resist the urge to contrarian this) SF are in fact the largest property owner in the Dáil with assets outstripping all other parties and TD (i.e. they have a vested interest in high prices) and when they have had the opportunity to make change here, they have failed utterly, building less properties than the current incumbents (unsure if all other parties + TD combined have less property than SF).
Now, I think this is down to their incompetence and policies that don't add up, but I certainly can't claim that their lower exposure to property makes them better as that patently is not the case.
