Who remembers the American actor Jonathan Taylor Thomas? He played young Randy Taylor in Home Improvement and was also the voice of the young Simba in The Lion King. Since the end of Home Improvement he's only acted occasionally, including in 8 Simple Rules. In fact, he hasn't acted at all since a few episodes of Last Man Standing in 2015.

Any other celebrities from other countries who suddenly vanished out of the limelight?

The cast of "this life" was big in the late 90s, everyone was raving about them and they seemed destined for great things. They were everywhere in the early 2000s , Daniela nardini was probably the best known actor but now they have largely been forgotten about

Jennifer Grey put it down to her nose job… she looked very different afterwards.

She did pop in in a TV series It's Like You Know where she played actress Jennifer Grey trying to get parts, very post modern.

This resulted in a nose that caused even close friends to fail to recognize her, and the major change in her appearance affected her career. Depends what you mean by great things? Lead roles in big movies or awards?

Jason Hughes, Jack Davenport, Andrew Lincoln all have big credits subsequent to This Life. Davenport in movies and TV series in the US and UK. Lincoln in Teachers and Walking Dead. Hughes was in Midsomer Murders for years but no major main roles since then.

The female leads careers afterwards was mixed although Amita Dhiri was in The Bill for a few years until it finished.
Daniela Nardini I think is the name that most pops up as Whatever Happened To…

I think it was very set in the 90s London scene with drugs , nightclubs and high flying lawyers . So even though it was highly acclaimed and compulsive viewing it was very hard to move on from that as an actor.
