Yes, looks like you are right. I haven’t imported a 2010 but I found a recent import here:

Also sorry for derailing the thread !!
I just want to point out that I know the most about car registrations in here 🫣
In Bangernomics, winter time is convertible time.
SAAB 9-3 2006, Auto, NCT to July 2025 and 3 months tax for €2,600. Seems to have been serviced recently. Prices for the older model are rising. It's for sale in Co Mayo for the past month, so should be a nice bit of leeway in that price.

Ah yes, what everyone wants.
•Convertible.
•Automatic.
•Diesel.
I'm in no way mocking your post, but what a combination of crap. If all that was in a wagon/estate then hell yeah.
And it wasn't a particularly good convertible, even when new.

How much would you pay for that?
Looks very rough on the outside and needs a deep clean on the inside. Very high mileage too. €1000 maybe?
I was never fond of the dick sticking out of the dashboard in Hondas but that's some cheap motoring and it will probably last another 10 years.
I'd give it a good valeting and look like new, well, almost.
Yeah interior looks rough, didn't think the exterior looked that bad for a 20 year old car. Brand new NCT and very new looking tyres. See if I can get a few hundred off the asking price.
What's it like getting insurance for these older cars these days
All 4 doors are a different colour to the body and are scratched and dented. The front bumper is scratched and has been resprayed with a rattle can. If you look at the images through a web browser instead of the Donedeal app you should see it. I know its 20 years old but its fairly rough.
Speaking of which, I just need the car for 1-2 months while my current car is being repaired. RedClick gave me a quote on their site for the car, so I assume this means they'll insure it. Never done this before I'm hoping I can just phone them up and switch the cover of my current policy from one car to the other, then switch it back when my car is fixed…
worth scrap money …..
In my opinion this is a good bangernomic: https://www.donedeal.ie/cars-for-sale/2009-skoda-octavia-estate-nct-tax/38528559
Quote:
The car wans't loved. I do not understand why people keep the car so dirty inside, for me doesn't matter how old the car is, this is just disguting… I would offer 900 - 1100 considering you'll need a full vallet and the body suffered a lot too. At least it has NCT and it is a realible car.
^^^^ Won't last long!

Already up a few days, add just rebooted, I thought it would be gone
What are you talking about did you forget to put in a link to a car or what?
I would guess that he's referring to the car he showed in his post prior to the one you quoted.
I guessed that after but they way he is talking the car is in bits while the car is well kept from my eye anyway.
Lol I thought I quoted the Civic :) Well I cannot even know if I can edit linking the quote.
That makes more sense.
Two bangernomics in one post:https://www.donedeal.ie/cars-for-sale/2010-skoda-yeti/38553565 2.25k for a Skoda Yeti in this condition sounds like a good deal. I had cars with same engine and I didn't face problem (Suitable for high mileage trips as any diesel after 2009)…

Yaris 2009 in great condition. It's rare to find one this well maintained with service history. I guess this is because it only had two owners. A bulletproof car for sure. Below 3k, could be cheaper for the year but it's hard to find any Toyota like this for this price.

The gearstick cap for these are only €12 from Toyota 🫡
Still there though. No doubt Liam is getting plenty of messages "1,500 cash today" I had an 11 Avensis D4D up for €2,800 and got more than enough messages as low as "€1,600 cash today" Even though the mileage was high the car was in very good condition, clean and no issues was well priced given that there are 11 reg Avensis up to €5k on Donedeal (I know them asking prices are silly). Asking prices around that sort of ballpark figure seem to attract a certain type of "Clientele".
If you turn off the Donedeal messenger function you won’t get many messages like that. For some reason people have no problem lowballing you through the Donedeal app but if they have to call or text your mobile they won’t bother.
I've always had a bit of a soft spot for the look of these , no idea what they're like to drive or maintain..

Sold one to broadcaster Peter Collins a long long time ago. Gearbox went in it.
This one looks clean on the exterior. UK import so have a good look underneath it.
Wheel trims are terrible and the seller is a trader advertising as a private seller.
