I've opened this tread because I seen national lottery have started the sales of the millionaire raffle tickets today, draw takes place new years eve, around 10pm I think
If you win think of us here!
The suckers thread...
Steven can you hear me?
It’s Clem Fandango.
i know the chances of winning any prize even in the last 10 years has gone lower but if your not in you can't win I guess
Yes I can hear you.
I got my ticket 86xx. Please don't buy a ticket.

I'm gonna get mine later on, 2 one for me and 1 for mam
These odds seems so bad this year 😕 maybe it's just me , used to be 300,000 tickets then 450,000 now 600,000
They won’t sell 600,000 tickets. Poor greed used to be 300,000 at €20 a pop.
Absolutely 💯 and if they where that's 15M raised only 3M will be used for the draw at a push ,where's the 12 remaining million going , yes I liked when it was 20 euro a ticket now it's 25 euro they only upped it like 3 years ago I think, any higher and I'd be protesting ,I agree it is pure greed in its purified form ugh 🙄
It's terrible odds. But no idea how you worked out only 3m is used. The bottom (500) prize is over 4m alone. Total is just over 6.3m (42%). You've just highlight why they will likely sell lots of tickets. People won't do basic checks
The lottery benefit fund has publicly stated that 42% of the money raised by ticket sales will be paid out in prizes. The actual number and size of each prize will be determined by how many tickets they can offload. The top value prizes are gauranteed.I'd expect the 1,000 and 500 to take a hit if sales are low.
Still a raffle for suckers. Not saying anything about the regular draws.
Ye my bad I was doing a rough tally in my head 🙃 so apologies for that but still 8,500 prizes out of 600,000 isn't great , they need to limit to 300,000 so there's a better chance but they won't
Yes I'm a double sucker as I got 2 tickets and only 8,400 odd sold so far , been getting them the last 4 years and zilch but here's hoping I win something this year but wouldn't hold my breath
Yes total in prizes is €6,342,500 out of a possible €15,000,000 IF all tickets are sold
I like the raffle , I wish euromillion tickets were a set of numbers ie a raffle number, and that a raffle number is drawn for every 2m in the draw, as in euromillions is 140m this week, so 70 raffle numbers are picked as winners, and there is 70 winners of 2m for the 140m. Same next week, 70 new millionaires a week, 3640 new millionaires per year. This would be cool. Soon it would be, the man up the road won 2m, the man down the road 2m, the uncle won 2m, the dog won 2m
I like your logic of thinking lol if only it was like that
It should be, someone should set it up this way, the whole thing of no winners for weeks on end is stupid
It’s awful. The could cut it to 300k and it would still be pretty meh value.
Fools and their money......
Scrooges and all theirs….;)
Well they got caught not putting in the correct number of winning tickets into their draws so I suppose they got around that by upping the number of overall tickets.
I'd buy one max. We had so many of these last year in our household and won absolutely nothing. The odds are so brutal on any lottery game. You get better odds in a bookies but then you're looking at far bigger prizes on the lotto so play purely for fun because the odds mean it's so unlikely to happen. This year I'm telling myself 1 max. I'll probably be gifted one and that's it. Handing in my notice straight away!
Help support the Retired Teachers of Canada Fund have a bumper xmas, with extra bubblypop and fancy cocktails.
I think they've sold it to some French crowd now so they've already had their bubbly.
A bit off topic but I'm just looking at Friday's Euromillions results.
The highest amount won by an Irish player was €168.
Yes,the teachers took their profits and sold the licence to a Fench company already operating other lotteries.
So the Euro millions are doing a raffle draw, 100 millionaires guaranteed.
Should be like this every week
Sweet I'll be playing for sure then
Damn, I have to buy a ticket for that!
