Ouch! A band I don't know well but wouldn't mind seeing. Not for €88 though. The comparable Flaming Lips doing Yoshimi at the Olympia are €18 less.
The Weezer date in Dublin (Wednesday after Glasto) and London date (Sunday of the fest) suggests that they might be in Somerset. They've got the Friday & Saturday free so here's hoping for both luck with tickets and their booking.
Only thing with glasto is they likely wouldn't do the Friday following a Norway show, so if played the Saturday, they'd then be playing Saturday, Sunday, Monday (Halifax show since announced).. id be wary of them playing 3 days running, despite logisticallybeing possible. Theyd be perfectfor Glasto though.

Why not the day after Oslo? They've no gig the night before Oslo nor the two days after and are in England on Glasto weekend. If they play three days running then I don't see that as an issue, both the Libertines and Mercury Rev having done five days running in Ireland over the past six weeks. At this stage I'd be very surprised if they weren't doing Glasto.
And the Lips' gigs should be great, two nights at the Olympia. Just tune out Wayne's voice. 😁

I'd say Aviva, 3 arena, or possibly Thomond park as venues for an Irish show
Yep, I wouldnt mind seeing them but Im not paying that
in fairness, the capacity differences in those other shows, 4,500 for trinity versus 14k for smashing pumpkins support and 35k for green day. Weezer hefty fee has less people to be divided across.

Content enough with the €78 for Iggy Pop in Kilmainham. Not a fan of the venue but I'll make an exception for him, how can they fit 3 stages there ?
they had multiple stages/tents for over a decade there for forbidden fruit. they will have main stage and two tents for iggy. Bigger tent in far corner and smaller tent near the entrance into the fenced field
They rarely do gigs 3 days in a row, only ones on latest tour were cities relatively nearby or where 1 venue was played twice. Norway to Bristol isn't the most logical routing choice either. The Saturday would be more likely of those 2 dates, so would more depend on if they'll do 3 shows in 3 days. Possible alright, but small bit less likely I would say. That it'd be a festival slot, then a support, then a headline, could work in it's favour.
and they are at stage of career that they aren’t going to kill themselves with complicated travel arrangements to play a festival where they will lose money on.

Glastonbury though, probably the most prestigious festival on the planet. Bands make an awful lot of effort to be there. U2 interrupted the American leg of their 360 tour to be there. Flew from Baltimore after a gig and then back to East Lansing the day after the Somerset gig. It's also a shorter set and possibly an early evening Saturday set so back in London to rest on the Sunday before the Deftones support slot. Honestly, who knows but I'd say that Glasto more likely than not.
They ain't playing Glasto then - I'll take that as set in stone. May I add that to your consistently inconsistent flip-flopping list of predictions for the past couple of Picnics?
