I think it will be FF/FG again with god knows who. Hopefully a left wing party
It will be November 15th
Dublin Mid-West
"Vote Eoin O'Broin… no not that Eoin O'Broin…"
"You mean the one with the glasses?"
"Yes, the last with glasses and a beard".
"Gotcha"😁
Who goes first on the ballot paper?
Smokescreen or no smokescreen, to see two TD’s acting like this is embarrassing.
I thought having panelists sitting so close to each other was always tempting the charade we witnessed.
Really? Why? Support the bunch that broke the country?
What happens to the UK soon comes to Ireland.
Britain is now ungovernable, with parliament pontificating, islamists ruling the streets and the police too busy chasing thought crimes.
This is Ireland's last chance to get it right.
However, the victors of 1922 are already rolling in their graves.
So who are you voting for?
I won't bother even arguing the rest of your hysteria
Wow - my British relatives have kept that quiet. Thought crimes taking up police time and islamists ruling the streets…. what is your source for that? GB News?
Can't wait to see how his zero tolerance policy is going to magic up all the extra consultants UHL needs.
Senior FFG politicians have had a zero tolerance policy towards A&E overcrowding for many years. They always tell HSE management to remove/hide the trolleys just before they do a fast walk thru. They don't want the optics of chatting to old people on trolleys in corridors. It has happened in Galway A&E a numbers of times.
I'm not even sure they give a bo**ox anymore about Health. Nothing is ever done to fix the same problems that have occurred since time began.
I still think they should revert back to the old style Health Board models. There wasn't half the mess their is now, although none were perfect and some weren't particularly efficient. I worked for the EHB back the start of my working career and loved it.
Sinn Fein derangement syndrome 😃
Be a good boy and vote like your great granparents. Good lad.
🤣🤣🤣 "islamists ruling the streets"
Comedy gold, cheers.
Do you mean 1921 or are you talking about the Civil War?
I live in that constituency.
Not a whole lot to choose from on the ballot paper.
That's an annoyingly condascending post
It's true. I know people who are members of FF just because their parents are.
Destroy the country? Bah who cares. Daddy told me they're great.
Is this the crowd you have always voted for that you are talking about ?
Correct, it was MM i believe who's idea it was to create the HSE breezy. However, i always voted locally, and he happened to be FF, was great for the area i lived (Tallaght)
Now, FF for me are the only viable option nationally currently, and i'll vote SD also as he's good for the local area
At least you admit who you vote for.
I am astounded how many people won't admit it - on an anonymous forum - the mind boggles. It's quite shallow.
Now put the SD lad or lassie first!
It'll be a coin flip on the day Cluedo, but they'll be top of the tops anyway.
I note after how you mentioned Seoige wasn't going down particularly well on the door steps in Galway that her odds have lengthened, that looks an absolute minefield to call the seats with the exception of 1 obvious candidate
Galway West will be fascinating. The bookies are only testing the waters with the odds at the moment.
Ye i thought so, especially after seeing the fluctuation in the space of 24 hours.
Can't ever remember feeling less enthused about a general election, not sure if this is a widespread view?
Suoporting the bunch that has made us one of the wealthiest countries in the world, with some of the best employment opportunities in the world and with one of the highest levels of third level education in the world.
Yep, I can see why people would vote for the current govt.
Don't forget that very few people bet on elections, so the odds can shift a lot based on a small number of bets. The odds reflect betting patterns more than who will most likely win.
That's kind of paradoxical though.
If say 10,000 people bet one one candidate the odds will reflect that(and shorten), and you'd then assume that the 10,000 people will be voting for the candidate they have made the bet on, concluding that said candidate has a more likely chance of winning
Yep you are 100% correct. The bookies won't lose, that's for sure. The Galway West odds are quite wrong in my opinion. We shall see.
At the same time I heard that the US presidential election was one of the biggest betting events of all time. Not sure how true that is.
Most people will vote for a stable govt. That's the point.
SF dont have any track record of govt here and are not benefitting anyone on an average salary or above.
If you've a working couple on an average salary of 45k each, they can't buy a home under the SF proposal because they earn over the qualifying limit.
They would likely see reduced employment opportunities, as SF tax higher earners, the people who create jobs and pay the income tax here, to the point they leave and stop investing in the country.
FFG enable those couples to buy homes through HTB and they have a proven track record of creating good quality jobs. We are top of the league in terms of job opportunities in Europe!
There is only one way to go from there with a new govt and it is not upwards.
”I know members”
No you don’t 🤣 people make up that rubbish all the time
