Starting a thread for 2025 gigs as they'll likely start rolling in.
I'll arbitrarily throw in Rob Beckett playing the Olympia on the 26th September 2025 which went on sale today.
Might have to go to that show 😂, seriously it's been some comeback like another band that has done it the right way, the demand for their shows has been unbelievable as well new material is good as well thankfully
Absolutely. That’s why I was said it was moot whether he deserved another chance. He was undoubtedly a dick. Not sure if he still is now he’s kicked the booze & drugs and made people aware of his Ménière’s disease which was regularly triggered at gigs and made him vomit mid-set. Hence much bad behaviour on stage.
It’s easy to pretend you’ve changed and he may not have learned from it but I’m in favour of rehabilitation. I worked with people who were offered second (&third) chances after leaving prison or secure psychiatric units. I personally think we should extend the same opportunity to those who seem to have altered their behaviour. A progressive societal thing, no? Even if I’m wrong and he has remained a dick I’d prefer to have given him a chance.
Linkin Park 2.0 teasing something for Wembley Stadium
Not sure if everyone's forgiven him yet Seath. His ticket sales could be affected in the same way Arcade Fire's were. He's a bit of a dick. Beautiful album nonetheless.
Out of the 3 big reunions (Blink, the Chili Peppers and MCR) that second night of MCR at Kilmainham was my favourite by far, top crowd. The first night wasn't great though.
Not sure I'd bother seeing them again without new music tbh
Hopefully might come to Europe after, be a nice change to see them in the 3Arena
Kilmainham a few years back was average enough.
They were meant to do their comeback but COVID delayed any momentum really, I saw them when they came to Kilmainham and thought they were brilliant, I'm not an outdoor venue person really but it was brilliant hearing those songs,
Same sentiment though these reunions are very disappointing when there is no new music to accompany it and their just living off of past glory like, biggest case in point would probably be guns n roses who I think are touring next year alright after there year break,
Thought Blur did it the right way, came back, new album and music small run of shows and on hiatus again, saw them at Wembley both nights and brilliant
Brain fart on my part. Had completely misread his output earlier before I posted
Those smaller venues were chosen very deliberately as he sought to re-establish his reputation following his harassment of several female musicians. He apologised, went into rehab, got clean and apparently turned over a new leaf. It's moot whether he deserves another chance but for me rehabilitation should be afforded to all those not a danger to the public (another bigger discussion). He's been selling out those venues and has basically been following the textbook of Bob's Never-Ending Tour.
Vicar Street will sell out and there's room for a second night. One or two nights for a solo show in Vicar Street ain't a downward spiral. I won't go as there's no band. @Ricosruffneck is considering it but would be a definite I think with a band and @Stillill42 might be the same? I can't speak for them. I'm also pretty certain that'll be the view of most of my pals who'd have considered this. Not worth travelling for a solo show. Unmissable with the band. The guy still has a decent following and could sell 2/3 nights there with a band. Or possibly sell out a 5k venue. 😁
They were brilliant supporting Smashing Pumpkins in 3Arena this year. Fantastic setlist too. Note perfect. Couldn't really ask for more. But this would be an excellent gig if the weather is nice.
My Chemical Romance touring the Black Parade in America next summer, must say their reunion has been very disappointing so far
Not sure what you mean by this, he's had a few albums out this year alone?

He literally toured with a band last year:

from €60 plus fees. Probably close to €90/100 for standing/good seats
Any ideas how much Pitbull in the 3arena will be charging?
he has been playing in smaller venues and half capacity shows on the last few tours. Don’t think having a band would dramatically increase his ticket sales to such a degree that it’s warranted in his eyes. Downward spiral
With a band he could do multiple nights or larger venues on tour. Thus the extra costs would be well covered. I've skipped a lot of artists I like (Lloyd Cole, Hugh Cornwell, Evan Dando, etc) because I can't face the tedium of greatly lesser versions of songs I love. The words 'solo & acoustic' generally cause a rash.
Combo of no one rushing to be in his band, he goes on that he is broke after divorce/sexual harassment/FBI investigating him for texting a teenager etc.
..
Oh man. Loved that album. But no band? Really?
Yeah, the album deserves a backing band. Other dates worldwide are advertising as SOLO.
John Mayer pulled off a solo gig very well. Ryan's Carnegie hall solo concerts were supposed to be great.
In 2 minds about it
Have to wait and see I suppose, maybe because they don’t really tour that often (well on their own, they play in Ireland just 3 times prior to Covid and now they will have played 3 times in 4 years) they might just play it in Europe a year early
Seems to be a solo gig going by the NZ dates. A huge pity as performing Heartbreaker with his band would be unmissable for me.
Shane Gillis for 3Arena - March 21st
Now THAT I would be interested in!! But a year too early.
Ryan Adams [Heartbreaker Tour]
5 Apr - Waterfront, Belfast (£44.50 - 55.50) 7 Apr - Vicar St, Dublin On sale Fri
The colours on their announcement make it look like it might be a Pinkerton show
The man who rhymed Kodak with Kodak..…
will be standard festival production of band and maybe a backdrop/screen with logo etc
Haven't seen Weezer since their two shows in 2005, but would love to see them again
Pity that the dates dont work for me. I think that price is quickly becoming the norm for concerts.
