I think it will be FF/FG again with god knows who. Hopefully a left wing party
It will be November 15th
Might be votes lost in the future as FG are open to a FG/FF merger
Micheal will be all for it, FF members might not be happy
A FF/FG merger would cause at least two splinter parties, a continuation FF and a continuation FG; who knows where the bloc FF múinteoir vote would go then!
(could easily lead to a centrist/barely centre left continuation FF and a rural right continuation FF at that)
A pointless Election where the same lazy freeloaders will be re-elected, to not sit in Leinster House….
But we want these people, that's why we elect them to represent us 😊
Another LOL moment as the celeb candidate commits a huge gaff.
I’ll be voting them back in (or at least FF) because it suits me. I don’t care about social issues. I care about money in my back pocket. I work for a large American pharma company and an SF government would be disastrous for that. I bought my own apartment this year so the price of them does not bother me at all (not that I think any party could affect change in that area anyway)
Seoige has made a number of such errors in last few weeks. You'd never know that FF are in power
Word is she is done in Galway and even Éamon Ó Cuív is now campaigning with the other FF candidate
As expected, not going down well. The ability of the likes of Burke to shoot the party in the foot should not be underestimated.
Aside from this clanger, I’d say Donnolly’s seat is in serious trouble.
Word from who/what,the other FF candidate is not at the races, the FF seat in GW will go to Seoige.
I thought Seoige would hoover up O'Cuivs votes and take a seat but after talking to friends who are canvassing, I am not so sure. Very interesting but I think she will struggle. She will win the prize for most posters.
From relations in Galway. She has ruined her campaign over the past week and even Éamon Ó Cuív has distanced himself from her
What has she done?
Since last election. 2020.
I found her speech here on affordable purchase homes earlier this week:

The interaction was longer than that but Martin completely avoided the question. Quite dishonest about it. If you cannot answer direct questions, don't bother attending Leaders Questions. Own it ffs.
Very good point also on the vacant property tax. Do you agree?
It looks like quite draconian new refugee laws will come in if Fine Gael get back in, including a dedicated deportation plane.
Can Sinn Fein up this?
Told someone on their doorstep who's kid hasn't got the special needs treatment he needs, what's it got to do with me
Put an ad in the national paper saying FF have let down Galway regarding cancer treatment and in the same ad asks to vote for her to join FF
Not sure,FF are notorious for one candidates supporters to try and sabotage the others chances, there's no love lost there I reckon, parachuting in a celeb upset people.Funny thing is,theres truth in her asertions regarding the outcomes for cancer patients in the West.
FB, how are You able to post a link? I’m trying to post a green link from The Journal, but it won’t paste🙄
None of Those measures will happen,it's just electioneering.
FFG will most likely be depending on one of labour,SDs, or greens to form a government, none of those suggested measures would ever be acceptable to any of those parties,if anything those parties would be advocating fora more lenient asylum system.
The Green minister is the one overseeing thousands of refugee men being put into tents.
Jaysus, sounds bad. Maybe more context is needed?
Lots of very conservative teachers out there, one of the most conservative profession, so it's hard not to think that they'd have a bunch of FF voters in there. Or they used to have anyway.
I'm all right, Jack, so to hell with everyone else.
You seem surprised that people vote for their own interests.
Labour are the most likley partners for FF and FG .They wiil have between 8 and 11 seats after the election.
Based on my work colleagues and social group, I think that Sinn Fein will preform even better this time around, partly due to the recent events with Trump in the USA.
People have different reasons, but for me it was looking at the Americans and questioning how they are willing to vote for trump just because they believe they will financially benefit from him, even if they know that he will do terrible things. I know it’s not quite as extreme a difference in Ireland.
I have always been a FFG voter, based on what I consider to be a prudent economic policy. However, their lack of action on social issues such as housing, the travesty’s in Palestine, and the insistency of Norma Foley to prioritise sound bites that sound good for her on TV rather than what is actually good for our children, along with many other issues that I feel are moral concerns. I feel like I can no longer vote for them based just on finances.
I know others who feel similar so I think they will do better, even if they gain the most seats, I don’t see them actually getting into government as the others will do everything to prevent that.
Aontú ruling themselves out of coalition with FG. Not sure if this is a good position for them to take. Effectively ruling themselves out of government.
I can't see a circumstance where FG need a single TD and wouldn't just go for Lowry.
FF-SF being a tiny handful short is still plausible. But he would likely demand massive abortion restrictions to support a Government anyway.
They haven't a notion!
