Anyone buy off auto doc?
How did you find them?
Looking for brembo discs and pads all around for my car and they are €165 cheaper than Mick's garage.
Bit of a wait for delivery and make 100% sure you are ordering the exact correct part, used them a few times when I could afford to wait the week for delivery.
I used them recently but ordered the wrong parts. Only took like 5 days to get here tho
Thanks lads.
No real rush.
Just a little squeal has developed on one of my rears due to a bit of a lip.
There's still meat left on the pads.
I have the car 8 years so about time I treated it to a nice new full set. 🙊
Car is a 2013 is300h f-sport and these are what I was looking at.
Order off them probably 5 times a year delivery can be anything from under week to 2 weeks never had problem with them.
Only tip I will give make sure you order right discs size as usual there few options listed went type in your registration personally I would Measure old disc to make sure order right one . As I before order wrong one and be too costly sent them back
The size seems to be 296mm front and 290mm rear but yes a good idea to be certain especially when ordering from abroad. 👍
The Lexus part numbers are
Front:
Rear
Going by those the front are 296mm 28mm rear are 290mm 18mm so look perfect.
Out of interest have you ever changed brake pads on a hybrid before? Is there a special process required to take account of the regenative braking?
Pricewise they're competitive, but as others have mentioned, the delivery times are variable. Be aware that the stock delivery charge is €30 which isn't economic on a small order
Delivery has been a mess and they've tried to sub out for 'equivalent' parts for me before, which weren't equivalent in the slightest.
However, there's times where they're the only place with the damn parts in the first place so I still have to use them
The company has been accused of funding far-right pro-Russian propaganda in Sweden though they've denied it.
Ill shoot a few Russians to even it out 🙊
I downloaded the app because it said get up to 10% off.
I did and items are €25 dearer on it. 🙈
Auto doc seems to have a hint of Mr Auto off them so by the sounds of it, which by the way I never had a problem with.
I'm Ia little out of touch with car parts as besides service items my car has been trouble free in the 8 years I've had it.( Although I think I've iva cam position sensor on the way out).
Need to look into it further.
Auto doc in Ireland is carparts.ie I never use app
Email them with the part numbers you want and your VIN to ensure they fit.
They are by far and away the cheapest I've seen for good brand parts.
30 quid delivery but it may be free over a certain figure, I can't remember.
It takes a couple of weeks for shipments to arrive here.
Regarding making sure you're ordering the right part, what I do is this (VW Caddy):
Free delivery over 150 :)
I bought the exact same discs and pads for my 2013 IS300h last year from MicksGarage for similar money. You'll get them faster and with easier returns with MickGarage. Fully recommend the Brembos! A full set of discs and pads from Toyota was twice the price of the Brembos
There is a special process to change the rear brakes. Don't compress the rear brake pistons or bleed the system without doing so. Car has to be put in a special mode to do the rear brakes. There's a sequence of pressing the brake / accelerator & putting the car is specific gears to enter the required mode. I have the instructions if the OP wants to PM me.
wasnt aware that that was required to change the pads so thanks I will send u a pm.
Ive been trying to find someone to bleed the brakes properly including the abs module but any garage I ask look at me like I've two heads.
A few have commented "we've never had anyone ask for that before".
So that's the level of expertise I'm experiencing.
Regarding getting the right parts, I whipped off two wheels there and measured up what I need.
I got free delivery on a €30 order recently
Maybe a change of policy so cause it was costing them onnthe smaller orders.
Ordered Sunday 10th and arrived Monday 18th.
Grand job.
Ran out of time so didn't get all four wheels done.
Plenty of meat on the rear pads after doing 72k miles.
fronts not so much
