It was football fans, Fernabache (Turkey) fans were involved too (they were playing 45 mins away from Amsterdam that night) along with local Moroccan taxi drivers (one of whom the Maccabi fans attacked first)
It's common knowledge it was football violence, the Maccabi Hooligans are getting laughed at all around the world as they started trouble the day before and got scared shitless when they got what was coming to them
I don't think people have been claiming it was one set of football fans vs the other set of football fans. It was one set of football fans **** around and the locals gave them some slaps.

The first video was actually fine, how you would expect any news organisation to try and report the story in a balanced fashion. I'd say the powers-that-be were seething though at Maccabi's links with the far right and racist chanting being mentioned, as well as the implication that prominent pro-Israeli politicians had lied about the events in Amsterdam.

Many Israelis don't care about Palestinians civilians being killed - in fact they think the response in Gaza hasn't been harsh enough
A popular view to excuse civilians being killed is they are all Hamas anyway. Some Israelis have held viewing parties and cheered on the carnage in Gaza. There are numerous videos online of Israelis mocking the Palestinians and celebrating whats going on in Gaza.
Israel may not have killed 7000 people in one go, but they have starved Palestinians by deliberately blocking aid. Their closest ally has given them a deadline to let aid into Northern Gaza
We now know 70 per cent of the casualties in Gaza have been women and children. What hoop will you jump through to defend that?
Where are the demonstrations against what the Israeli state are doing within Israel? There are plenty of videos, uploaded by Israelis, of people in Israel dancing, celebrating and chanting about children being killed in Gaza. Just look at the victims Israelis chanting the other night in Amsterdam and at the airport in TA about no schools in Gaza because there are no children. You are another example of gaslighting

Whatever about what's going on in Gaza, it's clear that the reaction to the Amsterdam incidents was a (misguided) attempt by Israeli supporting politicians and media to spin it favourably in favour of Israelis and to demonise Muslims and portray them as racists and bigots.
But it totally backfired on them. People could watch the social media videos and read eyewitness accounts from Dutch people and see they were being fed a load of BS and lies by the mainstream media and politicians.

Many Palestinian civilians condone the 7 Oct 2023 massacres - that's obvious from news footage of the celebrations and the testimonies of former hostages Mia Schem and Moran Yanai. Most Israeli civilians do not condone attacks on innocent Palestinian civilians.
Even if the Hamas-run Gaza Health Ministry's death toll is true, it's still only around 2% of the Gaza Strip's population as of 7 Oct 2023. There is no evidence that the IDF has perpetrated a Srebrenica-type massacre.
Many European civilians don't have strong views either way on wars in the Middle East - they're more concerned about paying bills and putting food on the table.
Most of the countries that had diplomatic relations with Israel before 7 Oct 2023 still do.
