Back in the late 2000's and early 2010's Bill Cullen use to be on the TV all the time but now you never see him on TV anymore.
It's like hes been "cancelled".
He's old now, maybe not fit to seek the publicity the way he used to.
Yiz are fired.
He's working in McDonalds now, for free.
He was booked so to speak on the first Virgin flight to space.
he’s in his mid ‘80’s now, probably just focusing on his bread and butter his businesses. Maybe even semi retired . Doesn’t need the publicity or media exposure.
I heard he’s suffering from Alzheimer’s/ dementia. Don’t know if true or not, but it would explain his disappearance.
It might be to do with the fact that he went bankrupt and lost all his money so he can no longer claim to a business genius who knows everything and is always right like he did on The Apprentice.
Back in Bill's day he was so poor that he had to "work for nothing".
He never went bankrupt.
But didn't the banks have to take back the hotel he owned ?
Just saw his book Penny Apples in second hand bookshop the other day and I wondered too what had become of him, I remember he said he had booked a venue for his 100th birthday party as he intended to live that long! I hope he is still well, I enjoyed him although my father could not stand him lol and was of the same vintage.

I remember going to one of his motivation talks in 2006 and buying his book during my visualise it/the secret book years.
He was all about sleeping 4 hours, taking cq10 vitamins, not wasting a minute in the day - nonsense. Looking back he was a workaholic
A chancer that did well in the celtic tiger era like so many others.
There is loads of things that disappear from the media the that you would wonder about.
For example
What happened to the EU butter mountains or beef mountain or what happened to Nama and some of the dodgy developers there is loads of things like that.
He was citing ill health seven years ago in his legal battles with Danske. That is only likely to have declined further.
His last business was selling Ssangyong cars, not exactly the top of the tree in the industry. Probably better to remember his Legion D'Honneur.

Bill was well off before the Celtic tiger was born.
He was a go getter, wheeler dealer by nature.
If you are lucky enough to reach the age he is now you should hope you won't be judged too harshly.

Yep started out as a used car salesman, Bill Cullen cars, got lucky buying the Renault dealership franchise when it was on it's knees just prior to the Celtic tiger, suddenly was a business guru.
Turned out like a few others he wasn't.

I like him and his 2 books. A hard worker and a guy with a positive can do attitude, a very inspirational guy. Pity more aren't like him, but people just want to blame the government for all their problems and don't even try to improve themselves.
I did like Bill when I met him and his no nonsense attitude, he put in the miles for sure and was in a good place for the boom.
I read Niall Harbissons book too and other biz bio and they all seem to have an addictive personality, all or nothing which they channel into work. Bill defo was in great shape, never drank, he was a great role model for all those schools he visited
I remember meeting him in the late 90s and thinking he was an awful w&nk3r altogether.
Whatever about the butter I know the intervention beef as it was called was distributed to charities for giving to good causes, it's years ago now but I knew someone who was on crutches for months after a box of the frozen beef fell on his foot during distribution!
As you can imagine it became a bit of an embarrassing reason every time the question was asked what happened to the foot!
Yes, I remember my workplace hiring him a few time. "Yiz, have plenty of time to sleep when you are dead". He claimed he used to work until midnight on Christmas eve and go into the office on Christmas day if he had to.
Other guff like beating Muhammed Ali in a foot race. Sitting behind the resolute desk in the Oval Office. I didn't belive a word of it.
His partner said people should be willing to work for free during 2008 depression. No work for equity, not work for delayed pay. Work for free.
In fairness Bill would have worked for free if he had to and probably cut the 4 hours sleep to 1.
His friend, the late Pino Harris set that up for him after his other businesses failed
