I barely buy anything in lidl anymore, so it's working.
Same here, I've generally switched to Aldi over the past year - the final straw was the introduction of musak
They all have rave music as loud as living under dublin airport up here.
I mainly shop in aldi too, because they do really good reductions, and have decent prices. So the reductions get me in and the not-terrible prices keep me buying more.
Not sure which shop has the worse music - Lidl or Mr.Price

ah typical, sent my bf shopping, asked him to buy “lidl batteries” as seen them on offer and of course they put some stupid XXL ones out which he bought :D and which are not on any offer of course. Is it even XXL week? I wonder if they will accept the return…

Lidl Ballyfermot is closed down for a refurb so the nearby stores (Clondalkin, Nangor Road, Walkinstown, Kilcarbery) have a leaflet in store beside the normal offer leaflets after the tills. It gives 10 off a 50 voucher and there are four of them on the leaflet, one for each of the next 4 weeks.
This coincides nicely with their rib eye steak offer for €3.79 next week, 20% off brings them down further to €3.03 a steak. Time to stock up 👍️

Free apples are always good but my god, if anything the quality of the Lidl and Aldi fruit is getting even worse. And coming from a low bar.
The apples we got were very good. Usually they're horrible mealy and dry.
It sounds really dumb but the lack of offers or good scratch offers in app now since changes have left me not going to lidl. Between their prices being same now as dunnes (some things more) I'm now doing a bit more tesco/dunnes/aldi than my usual full lidl shops.
Just one person but they've affected my intake significantly for their items which are now expensive or on par with proper items on offer in one of the supermarkets listed above. Lidls loss and cause I'll tell 7 or 8 others, that'll hurt a small bit more. Can't be only one in this boat.

I do my Mom's shop in Dunnes every week and most of my families shop in Lidl. The only thing in Lidl that comes even close in price to Dunnes is the branded stuff like promise gluten free bread and that's still 10% cheaper in Lidl.

Everyone getting mad with the "scan your receipt to exit" at the new self service tills. People rooting in the bottom of bags for their receipts and in deep pockets. Staff not letting anyone out, everyone has to scan.

What if you're using Lidl Plus digital receipts, and you've not received it yet?!

I have digital receipts option on but now get a paper receipts in my local lidl to get through the barrier
How is their receipt at the bottom of their bags? Surely it's the last thing you pick up. Pick up your bag, pick up your receipt, hold it in your hand for the approx. 0.25 of a second it takes to get to the gate, then scan and exit. They have these in other shops, no big deal really.
