Reddit is not based in Ireland and doesn't follow Irish law. It's like when a footballer in England has an injunction against reporting on similar matters you will usually see the name pop up in smaller Scottish papers, Irish papers and on mainland Europe.

I would say they won't touch it unless there is new evidence that wasn't disclosed to them before and it would lead to a strong probability of conviction. Otherwise they will sit on their hands

There's a very different threshold for evidence in a civil case. You can make far more claims about evidence you submit in a civil case. Obvious example id the two OJ trials.
