Top up the purchase price I meant - so just use it to knock€1.60 off something you're buying anyway
Can they do that? As in a partial sale?
Yes, just say you want to put 1.60 on the card and pay the rest in cash or another card
If you know the exact amount you can tell the person you wan to part-pay with that amount and put the rest on another card or cash etc.
Edit: new page :)
I got % off Bridge Bakery treats on the app (Rocky Road or Caramel Squares) - decided to treat myself yesterday - well, all I can say is don't bother with the Rocky Road ones, they're rotten!
The caramel squares are crap too, too much biscuit base not enough topping, and the base is dry
Good to know. I was considering getting one of them today.
I'll get some cheap chocolate in Tesco instead.
The Rocky Road squares that they have at the tills in Aldi are great.
ThatBridge Bakery stuff in lidl is fairly poor, or at least the bits I've tried were - Grainne's cakes in Aldi much better.
The Jam bakewells are excellent in the bridge bakery range
PARKRUN745
and will allow you a choice between
Irish mushrooms
or
a loose pear
I agree, sometimes the fruit and veg in the supermarkets can be pure muck. And we did have way more greengrocers, I can certainly remember them growing up. But the rise of the supermarkets, put greengrocers along with small independent shops and other enterprises out of business.
Giving an example of pure muck, the easypeeler oranges that were in the free PARKRUN offer last week were awful. Looked like crap and a lot of them were squished and dripping. I definitely wouldn't have paid for them.
God yeah they were absolute rubbish. No wonder they gave them away.
Norn Iron 20 Tayto for those near border €3.25
And their definition of “easy peelers”, almost needed a chisel to get the skin off mine 🙄
Yes, really hard work.
Fit for a juicer only, but so so bitter.
Says a lot that they were still 49c yesterday, They must have extended the offer to get rid of unsold stiock. I didn't even bother redeeming parkrun fior them.
where is the fruit and veg shop in Stilorgan? The only one I knew was up past the church, and it’s closed.
Thanks!
I'm not sure about lidls new changes to the app. Now I've got only a handful of coupons to activate and offers in two places on app. Not looking too closely now in app for deals...
Yea, annoying that you still have to activate some and now have two lists to juggle when shopping.
On the plus side, the offers list (the ones you now don't activate) are per transaction and not 1 per person per week … so you can pop in tomorrow and use it again.
Once again Lidl Pay didn't work for me. Told the cashier I wanted to pay with Lidl pay, scanned my app (with all the proper stuff switched on), nope. Just applied offers. Still had to switch to the Revolut card to pay. Useless.
And they've replaced one till in my local Lidl with awful self checkouts and the absolutely unforgivable "scan your receipt to exit" barriers. When the digital receipt doesn't come in immediately via Lidl Pay how the hell am I supposed to get out?
How many and what treats are people seeing on the Lidl app? There's just 2 on mine, garbage.
Talk about crap! They'd probably give you the runs. Raisins are absolutely vile. 🤢
€10 off €50 vouchers for next 4 weeks - Kilcarbery, Nangor Rd, Clondalkin, Walkinstown.
I have those 2, plus 20% off Red Hen stuff. None of which I'm going to use.
But i was pleased to see the tin of pineapple chunks for the parkrun.... a) because that's something I buy anyway, and B) it's worth more than 49c for once!
lild in Rathmines has the scan receipt to exit barrier now. I have only digital selected in App but now suddenly I am getting a receipt printed too
Off the Lidl plus app topic ...
Those self service checkouts are a PITA. Staff watching you like you are a thief and then you have to wait for them to authorise alcohol. Then you have to scan out...terrible design. Almost like they know they will increase loss to theft or dishonest and still went ahead with them. I won't use them again as they are not convenient and just slower.
same.. I haven’t been shopping at Lidl much so wondered if the app was being passive aggressive with me in protest.
Supervalu meanwhile are sending me tons of vouchers!
The weekly treats are now in the offers section and don't need to be activated
finally something free, first time in weeks and weeks, a pastry
Not judjing .. just so you know
