I just pressed the button on buy. Should I have got an option to go straight for finance application ?
I noticed after last nights charge to 100% that the KM now totals 400, whereas when I got it 2022 (Sept) 100% got 436KM. Is this usual? An 8% battery reduction seems a little much after just over 2 years…or maybe its not
is it not based on temperature and your recent driving also. Not just straight 100% charge = x amount of km
Did you click cash or finance when you selected to buy on the website?
In your account, you can change it and apply for finance, its very easy and quick too.
Enjoy the car.
In the app it asks about payment, trade in or finance I believe.
Now the nail biting begins. This is the worse part of Tesla ownership. The ordering process is so simple but the delivery date is not set in stone until you have a pick up date!
Yes I was on the website not the app and couldn’t see the option.
Suspect there will be a choice of take December at the price agreed. or
January at +5k due to tarrifs.
Probably a zero sum game.
I’d say so. Someone on the Tesla FB group posted (committee member) about the tariffs for the 2025 cars. So maybe some truth to that.
If you’re on FB, you can join the group with your RN number (Order No).
That readout isn't indicative of the true loss because it can be influenced by recent diving patterns. You can do a Battery Health test through the service menu, look at a few YouTube videos how to do it. It will give you a more accurate estimate of degradation than the km readout at 100%.
My understanding is that the price you order at is the price you pay unless they drop the price in the meantime, in which case they always pass it on to the customer.
There's no mention of a potential change in price on the website so I'd be surprised if any of the Q1 2025 cars increase in price.
Of course if they do, then they should give the option to give deposit back.
Normally yes. But, there’s always been a small bit of text about local grants, taxes or levies. These have never been changed before so the levy will be passed on. Imo.
They never mention any price change. But the levy has to be accounted for.
Congratulations, the wait is the hardest part!
What version did you go for in the end?
just the standard RWD. Kicked around both the LR and the AWD version but didn’t really see the benefit for my use case. Jan-fed delivery date so let’s see how that goes.
Time will tell I suppose. I wonder if they may absorb them initially until they can supply them from a different factory based in Europe (Berlin)?
What are the expected tariffs on the M3 do you know?
Is it only on MIC versions?
7.8% or thereabouts. Only MIC cars.
We seen a few MY’s from Berlin this year so it’s possible hopefully. BYD will be out of Hungary in a few years too so that should help them.
It will be a pain for those who are unaware of these tariffs but I guess few k of an increase for a new year car isn't unheard of either.
No, the range on the car is the US based EPA range not your local driving habits so it is reflective of battery SOH and SOC.
From the manual…
The driving range displayed in Model 3 is an estimate of the remaining battery energy based on EPA-rated consumption. It may not account for your personal driving patterns or external conditions.
Spotify not working at all now. Will play a song for 9 seconds then it stops and the buffer starts forever.
Tried the 2 button reset but it does nothing only give me zero access to online services for around 15 minutes after it has reset.
Any work arounds on this?
what software you on?
I’ll check one now that’s on 32.7.
Edit - all good here. Playing normally.
Did 350km in M3 yesterday and, other than a 15min spell where it played a song on loop, it worked flawlessly.
One question on the car spotify account. I have an account for the car and a personal one which I rarely use. I started getting a message asking me to register an email address with the car account if I wanted to maintain the account. When I went through the required steps I am asked whether I want to use the car aaccount or another account. I have different play lists on both accounts so want to keep both.
I am just interested in why I am now being asked to make this choice and why after 8 months using the Tesla account I am being asked to register an email address to continue to use it
Tesla is removing the Premium Spotify Account from December1st (regardless of whether you subscribe to Premium Connectivity) so it is probably preparin users for that encouraging them to associate their own personal account for those who have one.
I'm waiting to download 32.7.
The joys of not having a driveway means the car never connects to my home wifi so I'm always behind with updates.
Thanks for that info. Surprised Tesla didn't sent a specific notification to that effect via the app. Presumably that now means that it will be necessary to cough up more money to Spotify to maintain the current ad free Tesla Premium service.
Wondering if anyone has experienced slow charging speeds at the Mahon Point superchargers (250kw)? Twice recently I've charged there and got a max rate of 95KW. First time I figured the battery wasn't up to optimum temperature as I'd only driven 50km before charging.
However over the weekend I charged there having driven 300kms and the battery was preconditioned and still I only got a max of 95kw at 14% soc. Later I charged at Ballacolla (150kw) having driven for 200km and I got a max of 135kw at 8% soc It was still charging at 90kw right up to 60% soc. Now there was only 2 cars charging at Ballacolla while the 4 chargers were occupied at Mahon Point so maybe there is power sharing going on there which makes the 250kw nominal rate very optimistic during the day when they always busy.
They sent at least 2 emails with the changes outlined. The latest reminder was 4 days ago.
I haven't seen any email correspondence from Tesla on the matter. Must do a search in case I missed them
Just did a search there and last email I received was in July and had nothing to do with the Spotify issue.
Do you have premium connectivity?
Yes, signed up when bought the car
Looking into purchasing a M3. Roughly 2019/2020 model to fit within budget. Outside of the Battery being upgraded in the later 2021/22 Models and the Warranty is there anything I should be concerned/aware about?
