The Film forum has a similar thread to this and I thought it would be a good idea to do it for the Television forum.
Mod - don't post unsubstantiated BS on this thread.

RIP Teri Garr
On TV played Phoebe's real mother on Friends as well as Oscar nominated for Tootsie

She starred in the Star Trek TOS episode "Assignment Earth" which was planned as being a backdoor pilot for a spinoff series called Gary Seven, however she was apparently put off by Gene Rodenberrys demands rather she wear a shorter skirt and refused to work with him again.
Whatever the reason its a pity the spinoff series didnt get the green light.
David Davin-Power has died aged 72. RIP.
A great journalist.
Condolences to family and friends.
Rest in peace.
I concur with what others have said about David Davin Power.
But the tribute to him on the RTE news today was shambolic. Didn't even get his name right on the final graphic, instead putting 'David Davin' at the end.
Complete disrespect to a guy who'd been nothing but professional.
There were a few mess ups on the Six O'Clock news. Mixing up news items and details wrong in relation to crimes. (I know, because one of the news stories happened about 15 minutes away from where I grew up. And it's been pretty well documented what happened.)
It was an equally poor tribute on Prime Time. Just a 10 second mention right at the end and his photo. Brian Dobson on RTE Radio 1's Drivetime gave him a good tribute though.
That’s because Dobbo, like DDP, is a pro. People like DDP, Dobson and John Bowman seem to be thinner on the ground in RTE these days.
But they do have 'talent' like the 2 Johnnies and Lottie Ryan
Alastair Down, Sporting Life journalist and long-time mainstay of C4 afternoon horse-racing and The Morning Line. Many entertaining run-ins with John McCricick.
I'm kinda surprised he was only 68 - he always seemed wise and aged, but must have been barely 40 when he started with Channel 4.
Racing journalist Alastair Down dies aged 68
Scottish comedian Janey Godley has died from cancer aged 63. More of an Internet / social media figure though she did some television acting roles.
First really came to prominence when Trump visited his Scottish golf club as President, so she went to welcome him
RIP
He was one of the main stars of LA Law nominated for both Emmy & Golden Globe and Dharma & Greg, He played Dharma's dad.
Another LA Law alum gone

When the police told her to lose the sweary sign, she changed it to "Trump is a runt"
RIP.
Cripes. Rte had a "remembering Gay Byrne" thing on their site to mark his anniversary.
Watkins showed great strength when Gay was diagnosed. I'd say she knew she would not be alone in mourning him. For many, he was a groundbreaker. And they got some nasty letters, no doubt, during the days politicians and priests denounced them.
Had a respectable career in her own right. Wasn't in his shadow, at a time when we still had the Calor Housewife competition. A competition that celebrated the "trad wife".
Watkins had a calming voice, in my humble opinion. You'd strangely feel safe. Condolences to all who loved her.
Rip
Kathleen Watkins was a nice woman.
Trevor Sorbie has died aged 75. He appeared on television weeks ago to say he had terminal cancer.
Popped up in few shows over the years, such as Faking it, where 'well known faces' learn a trade and convince folks they're professional.

Tony Todd, has died. He was 69.

His acting roles are numerous. His voice was incredibly distinctive. And I'm sure many folks are feeling this loss.
Ah **** **** ****
apparently Kathleen was a real “red head”. No hair just a red head. A lovely woman . R.I.P
Had memorable cameos on Xena, Warrior Princess!
RIP Johnny Duhan.
Life is an ocean, love is a boat, In troubled waters it keeps us afloat. When we started the voyage, there was just me and you. Now look around us, we have our own crew.
😞
Married to Mrs Fawlty for 61 years!
Father of actor Samuel West also.
Aside from his acting career, his canal boat series with wife Prunella Scales was much loved.
I was just checking the IMDB for the original Day of the Jackal movie, and he popped up in the credits.
Last month I was listening on BBC Sounds to a repeat of a programme where he read from letters to his wife he wrote when on tour.
