Starting a thread for 2025 gigs as they'll likely start rolling in.
I'll arbitrarily throw in Rob Beckett playing the Olympia on the 26th September 2025 which went on sale today.
never been but it looks horribly segmented in comparison to Irish gigs and they really gouge for the good tickets
Have heard steerage class is miles back
Maccabees announced their support bill for APE including Bombay Bicycle Club, Dry Cleaning, The Cribs, Nilufer Yanya, Murder Capital, Divorce, Prima Queen
Here's a funny/sad thing. Never heard of Zach Bryans. Had to Google.
I've seen Pearl Jam and The Cure at BST in Hyde Park. I actually thoroughly enjoyed both, with a range of great supports. No need to look for any special tickets etc. It felt very well organised and a good location.
You can still get close enough on the cheap tickets.
Tyler the Creator added 2nd night for the 25th of May
Nice one for that! Cheapest ticket I could get was close to 180e but hopefully there will be decent support and will make a weekend of it. I've only been to All Points East in London before which I thought was well ran too. Think a lot of the Bryan tickets had gone in presale so think it could be sold out now
Lathums
Cracking support list.
He is adding a second night.
Oh really? Where did you see that?
First time I'll be seeing them in nearly 2 years, after seeing them 5+ times the year before. Looking forward to this a lot. It's a shame their second album really did nothing for them
Would Ike to see Nilufer Yanya pop up somewhere here but I didn't really enjoy her last gig in Whelans a few years back, sound was awful.
He posted it on Instagram earlier
Ah cheers. No sign of it still up so he must have deleted it.
Scissor Sisters announcement due tomorrow
Was it just the two of them, or they have a backing band along? Also playing the Roisín Dubh in March so I'll be buying on Friday.
APE always has, and there'll be more added. Were you to do three days there (the second weekend is usually the indie-ish one, the last weekend in August) you'd see more decent acts than at almost any other festival in Europe.
The venue, Victoria Park, has its problems though. Hyde Park a far better experience for live music.
Victoria Park has improved sound-wise.. at least that was the general opinion the weekend I was there this year.
The more centre you are, the better... off to the far left and right can be patchy.
Also seemed to be a reduction in sound-limiting this year than other years I heard.
Wait for the day of the gig and you'll get day tickets from APE themselves for £15 - £20.. best value of a weekend music-wise out there!
28th May at 3arena, 27th in Belfast. Support from Goldfrapp
no Ana matronic in the band for the reunion
What's reasonable to expect from Scissor Sisters? Playing debut album here and it's 50 mins long - think it'd be 1.5 hours with rest being other hits?
Alison Goldfrapp is a very good support act - very tempted by this.
probably a 15-20 song set that’s 75 -90 minutes at most.
Is this confirmed? That would be a pity.
Anyway, Jake Shears is a superb front man. And Alison Goldfrapp's solo album has been my favourite and on heavy rotation since released last year. A great show indeed!!
3 presale on Wednesday, definitely buying a ticket for this.
yeah tour poster names all the lads and no Ana and video advert only shows the lads and zero clips of Ana
Ah yes, you're right, I see it now. Oh well..
a who with the what now?
well it is a scissor sister show. Dongs in lieu of songs
roskilde line up for those who may be interested
Beth!
Sam Fender announced as a headliner for Rock Werchter
No Ana Matronic is a real downer for that Scissor Sisters announcement 😕
Probably still go though, especially with Alison Goldfrapp as support
