Glad to be submitted, what was the general consensus around approach to Q1? Found the word count quite limiting when trying to tie the framework to more that one example.
And now the waiting begins! The information booklet says shortlisting may not be until Jan 2025 but the panel will only be in place until Dec 2025, at that rate there might be very few appointments outside Dublin.

Does anyone know the test providers they are currently using? Is it still SHL? I'd like to get ahead of the curve and start practicing.
They used a different company for the HEO a few weeks ago. They might use the same one again, but I can’t remember the name. It was only for verbal and numerical assessments.
I believe they used SOVA for the HEO campaign.

In previous AO competitions, they've conducted tests before requesting in-depth forms, so I wonder if our forms will be reviewed before the tests for this comp?

Got laid off today unfortunately, so very glad I had applied for this. Hoping it doesn't affect my chances at the interview if I get to it.
When you get to clearance stage you’ll be asked to confirm that you’re still in the same position as you were in when you applied to this competition, and you’ll be asked to provide information on any gaps in employment.
My 2 cents, for what it's worth - look for volunteer work to fill the gap, while you seek paid employment.
I don't think that's correct. There are no questions in the AO form that are marked and dictate your OOM for interview.
In the 2022 AP competition, they did the online tests, then sifting, then interview, all on a phased basis. Think about it, there could be 2,000+ people applying for this competition, there is no way they can sift all these applications, it would take forever (which it does anyway!). The scores in the online tests dictate OOM for sifting which further dictates OOM for interview. This is the only way they can manage the numbers, the online tests serve no other purpose.
For the 2022 AP competition, we received an OOM at stage 1, testing. We received a score at stage 2 after application shortlisting. Those scoring over 127 were called to stage 3 first. Those scoring less than 127 called later. After stage 3, I received a new order of merit & thankfully passed.
Does anyone have any recommendations for practice AP aptitude tests? I'm not sure what these entail or how to prep for them?

Absolutely. There is always such a high volume of applicants that there will most definitely be a cut during shortlisting.

Unless things have changed you only have to pass the numerical getting anything higher will not put you up higher on a panel waiting for interview whereas the verbal and situational will. The numerical test is not just about getting every q right its also about testing how you react under pressure. Every q on this test should be answered even it its a guess, the trick is you have a 50/50 chance it can only be right or wrong (maybe someone else has a different opinion on this?) you have a higher chance of either passing/scoring higher if you answer every q. I found numerical difficult because Im not a maths wizard but rather than waste time on a question I just had to guess some at the risk of not answering the rest. You can waste valuable time getting bogged down on a q that you find really difficult missing the deadline to answer next few that might be more your strength. I had a better chance at guessing some then moving on than not. Factor in speed on this assessment and all of the assessments. If you are getting the pass mark already in numerical you should be ok but just answer all of the q's.

I panelled in the top 20 in the recent HEO competition after the assessments. This is my first time applying for AP, are the assessments a much higher level than HEO assessments?
