I have switched on our satellite TV for the first time after a few months and we can't receive ITV.
Some googling suggests our Ariva 153 combo box is now obsolete, am I correct??
If so what do I need to fix the problem.
Many thanks in advance.
Lots of frequency changes in the last few months, retuning required

Thanks for replying, but I tried returning with no result. Just need the confirmation that my box is now compatible, it is around 8 years old.
Thanks
There are videos here showing how to operate the box. When they were made the satellite at 28 East was called 2A. Now called 2E, 2F and 2G in case that causes any confusion.

If the TV has a satellite tuner, that can be used to get the channels without needing any box. Plug the cable from the dish directly into the TV.
I checked the spec for you and yes that box can receive the DVB-S2 standard as well as the old DVB-S standard. You will need to check that you are actually receiving a signal from the dish and you can do that by going to the TP section.
How familiar are you with the box?
Not at all familiar, never had to do anything with the box before, I'll have another crack at retuning etc, thanks again for helping...
