Starting a thread for 2025 gigs as they'll likely start rolling in.
I'll arbitrarily throw in Rob Beckett playing the Olympia on the 26th September 2025 which went on sale today.
Thats disappointing.
Quality band with some cracking tunes and they put on a great spectacle.
Now if only we could get chat free gigs as well!
Chris McCausland has announced a couple of Irish shows for next year. Vicar Street on 24th October and Ulster Hall on 25th October.
Looks like I'll be traveling. Great band.
Declan Pierce playing Latm 12th July and limerick docklands 16th August.
Saw Bobby on Friday. No phones. T'was lovely.
First act for GIAF 2025. Saw Doctors double bill, Academic, Gavin James heading our way soon. 2023/2024/2025 interchangeable lineups.
The return of Gavin Friday!!
8th April, intimate show at Spirit Store, Dundalk.
10th April, Vicar Street.
Surprised he's able to get his head out of Bonos arse
Very constructive post, thank you for the contribution 😒🙄
Marti Pellow for trinity series and chsq in Belfast
Trinity lineup is weak again this year
Boke!!! Maybe the camping festivals lineups might be a bit better this year.
at The Marquee also:
more announcements
Pavement feels an age ago.
scissor sisters reuniting judging by logo being plastered on Manchester co op. will do the business here as they were insanely popular
First album great, second decent and an enjoyable live act. Very good at Oxegen 2004 and excellent a couple of months earlier at Brixton Academy with Lamb & Queens of Noize in a late-night gig. Perfect for an early evening festival slot but your post implies arenas, possibly Spring next year.
Caught them at Oxegen 07 and they shocked me on how good they were live especially their show, remember the lead singer jumping off the stage pretty much naked and rolled in the mud before finishing the set. Would be a good get for ATN but maybe they might be asking for too much €€€€
2024 the first year in at least a decade where we've not had a Big Top act that was based outside Ireland & Britain. We got Leftfield, Kneecap/Gurriers, Undertones, Simple Kid, Gruff Rhys and others but previously there'd been overseas acts like Caribou, Flaming Lips, Brian Wilson, St. Vincent, Elvis Costello, National, etc, etc. A few of them were also Irish (or even European) exclusives so we've got accustomed to decent lineups. Expectations greatly lowered for the BT in 2025 though the smaller venues always deliver.
I seen Jake Shears support Duran Duran last year and about half his set was Scissor Sisters tracks and it was great fun. Crowd were really into it. Hes a good Front man.
I always enjoyed how angry some got at a disco version of comfortably numb too 😜
A superb frontman, and anybody angry at their Comfortably Numb is undoubtedly irate at a great many things. Excellent single and I had to be told what it was as I didn't recognise it as a cover. Maybe I should pay more attention to lyrics……
Just clicked... half of them just further a new band, 86TVs, this year. Sounded pretty decent from what I heard. Slightly odd timing
I see Panic at the Discos retirement is over
Tool raging they didnt milk Fear Innoculum as a reunion album/tour considering it was at least 5 times the time gap from them finishing to reuniting. Such a farce!
That might just be a once off according to the bands social media post, it could also mean the once off is playing the album in full.
Best post on this thread. 🤣
Gomez founding members
They performed at Stendhal Festival this summer past in Limavady, and probably one of the best things there, along with Virgins. Even my wife, who really is not a muso, but went cos it is a local festival, loved their stuff!
I see Zach Bryan is playing Hyde Park in London next summer. No other European gigs announced so far but wonder would he play here? Anyone ever been to Hyde Park for a gig actually, is the Gold Circle worth paying for?
