anyone know the story with the new Kerdiffstown Park. it was supposed to open along time ago and looks complete. whatever the delay has been, it appears to have been hushed as havent hear anything.
Supposed to open before the end of the month….didn't say which month? Seems it's going to be very expensive to use the pitches etc.
It was originally planned to open next year. Apparently it's alleged to open within weeks so if that happens, it'll be good news. Has anyone a link to the cost of pitches etc?
The planned opening, once the works started, was Mid 2025. I don't ever remember any other official date being provided
It is set for a soft opening at the end of October and an official opening in February as part of St Brigid's Day.
Cost is circa €40m fixed tender. (excludes the public expenditure on remediating the site)

I see the council were busy today putting down double yellow lines in Morell restricting parking for Hey Darling.
As a local resident I have to say, I had no issue with the sometimes busy parking in the area.
Before Hey Darling these shops were vacant for years and were an eyesore.
Particularly on the weekends there is a vibrant and good social atmosphere in the area
The begrudgery of some and the stupidity of others never ceases to amaze me.
We really need to think hard about the quality of people we elect to our local council.

I don't know where the PBP candidate is from, but seeing as she was a councillor in Tallaght until June; I doubt its in Kildare!

Kilcock design is funded and undergoing design work. Naas is not. (nor Sallins in case someone thinks I'm being pedantic! A spur in to Naas is exceptionally unlikely, it'll be Sallins)

I think the Dart+ to Naas is actually possible. The new trains are battery electric, and the pace at which the battery performance has improved means it would be very easy to extend to sallins. The station needs an upgrade long term but there is capacity for some additional dart+ services right now. The millennium park stuff is a pipe dream.
