Starting a thread for 2025 gigs as they'll likely start rolling in.
I'll arbitrarily throw in Rob Beckett playing the Olympia on the 26th September 2025 which went on sale today.
primavera line up. People complaining headliners are too pop.
Are Chappel Roan, Charli XCX and Sabrina Carpenter the 3 headliners? Bit unclear off the poster but the lineup is a bit lopsided if so
yeah with lcd and fka twigs as next tier of sub headliners. just the reality that those three pop stars will be biggest draws that weekend.
Anyone have any look accessing the MCD presale for Limp Bizkit, I got the email but it's bringing me to Ticketmaster but no ability to purchase.
Never mind, works on PC but not on phone
Piss poor lineup.
Of the 3 headliners Chappell Roan is the only one who will actually sing most of her set live.
Sabrina turned off backing track the other week to prove a point to people like you calling her a mime artist. Thought it was funny. honestly wouldn’t have a minute to spare at that primavera with that line up. 20 or 30 acts I’d see. Not a ton of ones I haven’t seen in last few years
I'd struggle to get into the mid-teens with it. Quite meh. Gone downhill hugely.
I must be old because there isnt a single damn artist I'd have any interest whatsoever in seeing there.
Im sure its a fun few days all the same
plenty in it for 20-40’s year olds imo. Tv on the radio, Caribou, lcd, cat power, destroyer for older heads. Chappell, Sabrina for the younger people.
Yeah that's a strong a line up as I've seen in a while and I fall in to the 30-40 category.

Would be a decent enough effort, but hardly earth shattering. This isnt MadCool '18 we're looking at.
Spiritualized 😯
Any chance they'd come here…?
Yea but given that 2 (3 if you count Charli although shes been around for a lot longer obviously) of them only broke out last year and they’re all in the same ball park it seems a bit odd why they haven’t got 1 headliner who does something a bit different
2000 trees in the UK announced a tasty line up, Alexisonfire, Kneecap, Pvris, Taking Back Sunday and Coheed & Cambria as headliners
but again who are these different headline acts as popular as of those three acts and who is around europe in June? Tyler the creator the only one who is about europe in May that springs to my mind. Looks like he is only touring an indoor arena production next year so that’s probably why he isn’t doing it.
I'm a bit older than that 🤣
It's a cracking lineup, might even go!
Primavera continuing their direction to mainstream and essentially making each day a single day concert centred around a massive pop act, where tens of thousands will stick at the main stage all day waiting for one act, while the rest of the site/stages get a mix of genres and acts more reminiscent of what PS used to be. They want to be a massive mainstream festival so being a niche festival for less mainstream music fans at half the capacity isn't on their agenda.
Could find 20 acts I'd see if I was there, but nothing that would make me shell out for a ticket again and travel over. Usually talking about spending upwards of €1500 all in between ticket, accom and spending money, and nothing that isn't here in Ireland regularly enough or recently.
reality is that a 35,000 daily capacity like it was when I went back in 2011 is not practical for a good line up anymore. It grew to meet its popularity.
It’s now a 85,000 -90,000 behemoth that can afford a Depeche more etc.
also the explosion in festivals since 2010 had contributed to its decreasing specialness.
Is there much cross over at all then between the European festival lineups and electric picnic, I actually took the plunge and bought a ticket to EP next year, never been and I'm looking at that lineup and going am I just going to be getting a dose of todayFM over the weekend 😅
there is a crossover to a degree. It all depends on when the European festival is. european festivals in late July and august will have crossover with EP to an extent. primavera will probably have very little crossover as it’s 3 months before EP and international touring bands rarely hang out in europe the whole summer, they usually split summer between europe and usa.
Would expect the like of Sabrina carpenter to play a big Dublin outdoor show in June/July rather than playing EP. all depends where and how popular an artist is.
I'll hold off going back to Primavera until the 2032 Pavement reunion so.
Lineup is still decent but not good enough when Barca has gotten so expensive to stay in.
Wrestlemania tickets up another level
that’s a two day combo ticket though?
14 or 15 I'd love. Still a pretty decent strike rate. Delighted to see Waxahatchee on the circuit. Hope she pops up at Green Man.
Yup
fact that people only go to one or two wwe events a year if even a factor in price charged
Still though... factoring in the crazy TM fees in USA, these tickets go north of 2000 USD.
and all ireland go for hundreds, World Cup or champion leagues final tickets go for crazy money. Super Bowl tickets go for thousands.
Oh, I dunno. Amongst that, there's a lot of very good indie/electronic stuff too.
