Reported missing on 30th August after not being seen for 2 days. He’s 8 years old. Why would you leave it 2 days before reporting it?

Mod - Move on from the statutory rape comments please, it's not relevant
Absolutely I agree.
This girl probably ended up pregnant at the age of 16 due to lack of family support/control/guidance and possibly lack of support from social services aswell. However saying her problems were caused by being raped is possibly inaccurate when there has been no mention of her ending up pregnant as a result of a man forcing her to have sex with him.
She was 15 or so when giving birth. Her becoming pregnant may or may have been due to rape. It’s not automatically a rape case because a person under the age of consent has sexual intercourse. There can be circumstances and facts to consider
They are going to start digging up the lane of where he used to live in Dundalk in the coming days.
I'm not really sure this thread is the time or place for a discussion on the age of consent and what people consider to be rape, statutory or otherwise.
Why are you trying to inflame this thread?
It is automatically a rape offence. Whether or not its prosecuted may be at the discretion of the DPP or whether or not a defendant can raise a valid defence doesn't in itself negate the fact that it's a rape offence. Regardless, its irrelevent to this subject matter at present.
Thinking they'd gotten away with it?
Age of persons involved need consideration . Statutory, was male 18 or above etc..?
To auto label it rape is inaccurate
This kid was failed by everyone who should have been looking after him.
That's not how it works. The offence is committed regardless. There may be a possible defence to be argued or the DPP could have discretion to not prosecute.
You have a link or info of this? Not doubting, just like to read about it.
Girls don't impregnate themselves.
The idea that a 15/16 year old child can carry a pregnancy, and then suddenly assume adult responsibility for that child, including being legally responsible if anything happens to it, is frankly ridiculous.
I agree.
I don't know why your quoting me - I never said a 16 year old should be raising a child. Are you trying to derail this thread again 🤔
100% correct! And as someone who has a sibling with schizophrenia it makes me very angry that people think they have a tendency to be violent.
The facts show that sufferers are less violent than the general population. So let's get that straightened out with people.
It's not being reported in the media. But I live in Dundalk.
Especially his family
Gossip and false information can spread just as easily in locations close to crimes.
Well if the poor child is dead, then it's likely the perpetrator didn't transport his body too far before burying him.
So my guess is, if he is ever found, it'll not be too far from where he lived.
Yes, and it could be the case that there is a search going on in the immediate vicinity. Just saying proximity to a crime doesn’t exempt gossip. I just remember a missing teenager case near me, back in the 90’s, and the amount of gossip and “I heards” was ridiculous. Of course anecdotes aren’t data, but ever since that has always colored my opinion on public cases.
reading about this I see no mention of the little girl. Was she found ?
OK so, I'll not post any updates I know about.
What little girl???
his sister
As far as I'm aware his sister isn't missing. Kyrans 2 little sisters were left with their grandmother.

Well all I can say is that if his body is discovered in this new search, buried somewhere in a property, then every single living adult member of that family, aunts, uncles, everyone, should be hauled in and charged.
They all obviously knew the child, and knew he was no longer alive, yet said nothing for years.
Shocking stuff. What sort of dysfunctional family circle are they?
Mental health.
satchwell 2.0.
All children need to be removed from the freakshow. before they start repeating the cycle, gang of ferals.
There will be adults involved in this case who will have known the child was dead, and said nothing.
Mum, dad, granny at least. But I'm sure there has to be more. Shame on the lot of them. Hopefully the law comes down hard on anyone who knew and said nothing.
