I actually like the house itself… (though washing machine in a bedroom?!?) …. but I'd hate to live beside neighbours with a tennis court!
The constant sound of balls bouncing off a racquet would drive me insane, and I presume if they're enthusiastic enough to use up their whole garden on a private full size tennis court, they use it regularly.
I really like this. There are some lovely original features and it seem it very good sharps despite it E rating and for that price you are certainly getting a lot of house.

Looks like it's set up for the rent-a-room scheme. Separate entrance, own kitchen, bathroom, washing machine, but shares an entrance with the main house (into the family room). Parking would be a bonus as well. Nice little earner.
Almost quadruple in price since 2013. 😮
that will give you a pretty good idea just how f*$ked the market is at the moment!
Live like the Earl of Mallow for less than the price of a semi D in Castleknock!

particularly liked image 13 with the two dogs looking like “the fack you doing mister?” 😄
Very nice but seems weird that they show so little of the interior especially the bedrooms and the 3rd floor.
Here's a couple of properties that fit in very well with the title of this thread, sadly.

The dream is a house with an avenue,😍
that is fab ! A dream house
Great property, and the dogs are very posh.
Estate agent can’t spell navigation properly, in the address.
do you want to be the centre of attention for a whole estate ?
Rahoon House, Ros Geal, Rahoon Road, Rahoon, Galway City, Co. Galway is for sale on Daft.ie
Those shít boxes in Walkinstown as the pits. Three quarters of a million for two dumps that need to be refurbished. Surely they should be cheaper considering the amount of work needed to bring them up to scratch.
8 bedrooms, 7 bathrooms on the ad but it's actually 4 apartments? I thought the kitchen(s) looked a bit small for a house this size
ETA, I agree it is a weird set up to have it parked in the middle of an estate like that
but it's actually 4 apartments
It's actually better it's four apartments. Even if I had the money(which I don't) I wouldn't buy a mansion and live in the middle of a housing estate.
ah yes i not read that firstly, makes more sense, but i still would not like it,
I could see myself living there with plenty of room for lots of ponies and a pool, and telling people it's pronounced 'Rejay'.
I'd say whoever bought that house when it was derelict sold off the land and then refurbished it. It's an eyesore now in the middle of an estate. Pity, it could have been a beautiful home.
I'm not sure how much refurbishment you think they'd need in order to fill them with bunk beds to rent out for €1000 a mattress, but I suspect it's a lot less than whatever you have in mind. 🤑
but you aren't buying a mansion you are buying an apartment, I've seen it a few times, there is similar in Blackrock in Dublin (copper faced Jack's old house apparently). I assume it's because the old house is protected in some way so they make apartments out of it and build an estate on the grounds.
You mean stradbrook hall in blackrock?
Nice interior work
Can someone please print photograph no.15 from this advertisement into this thread so it's not lost forever.
I pop in and out of this thread occasionally but surely that room is the single most depressing image ever to grace these pages? If not please do show me a worse one.
There you go. Open the photograph, hit prt sc (print screen), select the area you want, come back to boards and hit ctrl v (control/paste)
Or did you mean this one?
Agreed it is ridiculous (the first pic), but I don't think it is the most depressing, there have been some very sad images of the way people live. Agreed the second pic is a bit depressing, but still not a reflection of the way someone lives.
Thank you.
It's the second picture I find most unsettling.
i've seen worse than that!
