Certainly secular Israel took a dent after all the immigrants from the former Soviet countries arrived. They were noted for their brutality, the bulldozing of a young US citizen in jenin was particularly striking.
So I presume the reason why the IDF are essentially trying to bully the UN troops up until the point of actually attacking them is that they want to use their bases for themselves to mount their further invasion of Lebanon. From a military standpoint that's the only reason I can think of why they are taking such actions.
So basically we have some territory that Israelis would like to use for themselves but unfortunately someone else is currently occupying it. In order to get around that they're applying maximum pressure on the current occupants up to and including violence in an effort to force them to leave. Hmm…..where have we seen this before…..
A nation can be neutral and stll protect its interests or call for sanctions etc particularly when another nation has committed atrocities and their head of state is now wanted by the ICC to face accusations of war crimes and genocide. I'm surprised someone has to explain this to you.
I don't think they have an exit plan. I think that they're going to try and pull the US in at some point. They're already partially there. the US is now installing and manning missile defense systems there. So now all we need is for Israel to escalate to the point where it's a full scale regional war.

Hezzbollah have many members who do work like tour guides if the IDF want to wipe out hezzbollah they will have to kill ten civilians to kill one member of hezzbollah
Ithink they want they want to destroy all bases buildings used by hezzbollah including missile launchers this is very difficult as alot of their ammo is hidden in tunnels deep underground
If they go to far they could destabilize the civil government which would plunge Lebanon into economic chaos which means criminals and terrorists would take over Lebanon which would not be a positive result for Israel in the future
In the future Israel will have to negotiate peace with stable governments in the region
Israel cannot afford to be at war for years it's economy is not that strong it has to pay for weapons and guns it's army is mostly composed

It would be very useful. Israel is a tiny country that is vulnerable in many respects. Iran and its allies want to wipe them out through terrorism and acts of war, and BDS (Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions) would help them by isolating Israel economically and militarily, making the job of Iran, Hamas etc much easier.
Why don't your settle yourself and respond the red line question around muslim children i.e. stop evading.
