Have seen a few articles on the Russians dropping grenades and sending FPV drones after civilians in the large cities closest to the front lines in Ukraine (like Kharkiv and Kherson).

I couldn't give a rats ass about laughing or gloating about it, the actions themselves are what's wrong. EDIT: Actually, there's been plenty of TikTok and other social media posts of IDF soldiers and Israeli civilians celebrating war crimes. They're no different.
It's a weird logic that's used with Antisemitism. When the IDF killed a load of kids in a bomb strike, and people called them out, their supporters said it was an antisemetic trope. They invoked the blood libel conspiracy where jews were accused of killing children. The problem is that it's not a conspiracy when kids are actually killed.

Seems to be confusion on the definition, certainly Wiki would be be considered an authority on definitions.
The definition contained in Article II of the Convention describes genocide as
a crime committed with the intent to destroy a national, ethnic, racial or religious group, in whole or in part
. It does not include political groups or so called “cultural genocide”.
I would think what is happening now fits the above definition.
